High School!!! Andrew-freshman, Payton- sophomore. happy they are back in the same building again, not so happy to see the years flying by. Have an awesome first day @ajf_studios @__paytonsmith xoxo

School starts back tomorrow and right on cue my thoughts have turned to late summer/early fall entertaining. This combination is about as classic as it gets with the chintz for a tablecloth and blue canton plates but it's the sweet block print napkins that keep it fresh and not too formal. Don't miss @jennysteffenshobick launch of her classic home collection tomorrow! The napkins and so many other pretty things will inspire all of us to enjoy our homes a little more. πŸ’™πŸ’š

Finally made it to O Pie O and it definitely lived up to the hype! Such a great concept, savory & sweet pies for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The leek, carrot and goat cheese handpie was πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»!

I love this little corner in Maria's @growersdaughter kitchen. Her home and feed are so lovely. If you haven't discovered her yet, you are in for a treat! #onetofollow

Feeling the itch to restyle my kitchen shelves a bit so looking back at the inspiration I used when I added the open shelves in the first place. Still my all time favorite movie kitchen. From It's Complicated.

The beginnings of a master suite... #nineandsixteenhome

Ah! How I ❀️ this!! My brother sent me video footage!! Andrew's surprise 15th bday gift from my parents was tickets to see Billy Joel (his favorite) at Wrigley.

Easily the best book I've read this summer. Possibly the best I've read this year. Completely captivating from page one until the very end. Heartbreaking, magical, and beautifully written. The kind of story that renders you utterly useless until you finish. If you can wait, it would be the perfect winter read, for a weekend in front of a roaring fire with plenty of cups of warm tea or coffee. One reviewer said it best "sad as the story often is, what I remember best are the scenes of unabashed joy" ( the ice skating scene was my very favorite of the entire book.) Enjoy. It's the kind of story I could easily read again.

Shades of gold. Sunset walks. Late summer. πŸ’›

Loved celebrating my 15 year old yesterday! I'm so thankful he is mine. I can't quite believe he starts high school soon! Let me treasure these last four years before he spreads his wings. ❀️
