Light is a form of energy. It can pass through the wide expanse of space in a matter of seconds. In fact, it only takes 8-12 minutes for light to travel from the sun to the Earth. Without light, there would be no life. See different forms of light in this round of the #Nikon100 and #NikonAsia100 fan features.
Thank you for your submissions. Happy 100 years, Nikon!

As an avid marine conservationist, @shinalodon loves venturing into the world beneath the waves. Sirachai believes that through his photography, he will help raise awareness of endangered marine life.
On an expedition to Satun, #Thailand, Sirachai was able to capture this image of the White Octocorals, a unique kind of coral that’s pale in colour due to low-light living conditions. This particular formation is currently under threat due to a proposed plan to build a deep-water port in the area.

Today is the day we first landed on the Moon! As a testament to human ingenuity, we managed to get two astronauts, Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong, to the moon using only the computing power of a small modern day calculator.
It’s amazing to think about how we’ve come so far in such a short amount of time, but what’s really worth celebrating, is our never-ending thirst for knowledge and exploration.

Here’s to us and the moon. Happy Moon Day! Share your shots of the moon with us by including #NikonAsia in your posts.
