This past weekend my family threw us a baby shower! We got so caught up visiting folks we forgot to take a lot of pictures! Anyway- we cannot thank our Northwest family enough for showing babygirl so much love ❤️
I don't post about my work often- but I am so honored to work for the tribal colleges and universities! Here are our presidents, some board members and students in DC celebrating Tribal College Week and advocating and lobbying to their members of congress #aihec
Today I got to meet a giant among men, Congressman John Lewis. He shared his story and inspired us all. He also told our tribal colleges to make good, necessary trouble 💕 he also got an Indian name from President Shortbull which means "A Very Brave Man" in Lakota.
This morning I got to visit the greatest group of 2nd Graders! We talked about American Indian culture and I got to share a little about the Coeur d'Alene people! I loved their curiousness and their respect for other cultures. It was a reminder of how special our little ones are and how we are all connected 💕

I first came to D.C. in early 2009 as an intern at the @democraticnationalcommittee and was so honored to work a dinner for @vp I will miss his humor, humility and leadership. Thank you, Vice President Biden, for everything!
Me and my nephew Jr. showing off our bumps! Clearly he's thrilled to do so... #babybump
