WHAT I CELEBRATE WHEN I CELEBRATE (LGBTQIA) PRIDE. 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈 For a while, Pride was just an excuse for me to take time off of work to Party, but the teachings that Life has brought me in recent years have brought up what LGBT PRIDE 🏳️🌈 really means to me.
Yes, it involves the body.
Yes, it involves sex.
Yes, it involves gender.
Yes, it involves love.
But most importantly, Pride to me is a celebration of the journey out of FEAR and into TRUTH. A Celebration of Liberation- of the body, of the heart, and of the mind from the myriad ways that fear in this world tries to bind us from becoming who we really are.
Anyone who takes the action to attend a Pride celebration this month is taking steps on the path out of fear and towards radical love and acceptance of themselves and others. I want to be on this path with you and take it to the very end, past even the boundaries of the LGBT community and into the entire world. We can light the way for others by celebrating together and affirming that our deepest beauty lies in our commitment to being truthful to who we are, and our greatest courage lies in our determination to express it freely.
