There’s nothing better than a sleeping babe in a wrap or a sling. If there’s anything I’ve learned as a mom of two these last two months is that no matter how hard you may try, your day may not go according to your plans and little boys have a tendency to wake up their siblings. Cue unhappy over tired babe that just couldn’t settle. But baby wearing has always saved my day. Here’s to hoping I can eat lunch without dropping anything on her head.

Piper is two months old (I’m sorry if you saw this on my personal account already) and perfect. I’m still trying to find the time and the motivation to put her birth story on the blog. #momlife am I right? So I’ll just leave you with a photo of my baby fever inducing little girl. Doesn’t that smile make any Monday blues that you may have just float away? Baby smiles may just be the cure to the case of the Mondays.

Piper is two months tomorrow and I’m just now starting to put her nursery together. But at least I got something started, Rowan never had a decorated nursery since we moved (twice)! For me, decorating is a marathon, one that I may never finish. Anyways, I’m in love with this space and can’t wait to see how it changes over time. Do you find joy in decorating? .

I’m 8 weeks postpartum and a couple weeks ago I got the opportunity to do a few photos for a local makeup artist with my favorite photographer in the area. I wasn’t happy with the state of my postpartum body, but I found a dress and smiled. I didn’t realize it than but it was the confidence boost I needed to love this mom bod of mine again. I’m nowhere near where I want to be, but it’s important to love the journey. Love yourself, love your body. Maybe the new trend should be to be in a postpartum photo shoot without the husband and kids. Get pampered and dressed up. Your body just did amazing work, you deserve it. .

I have a million prettier photos that I could post instead of an overly bright no makeup selfie. But this is more reflective of life at the current moment. Some days are just hard, friends - but instead of complaining I’ll share that I’m grateful for the wonderful community that is built up around me: family, friends, church, and even you here on Instagram. I spent the weekend planning this upcoming year of MOPS with some amazing women and even though I did so with hesitation, I’m so happy I decided to join the leadership team. If you need to build a community or feel accepted and encouraged, check out a MOPS group in your area. And if you are in Fresno or Clovis, come join me this year! I hope your Monday was better than mine, but before you click or scroll away, share with me what your grateful for today!

My nursing sessions don’t always look like this, but it does make for a pretty photo. Although, I have nursed both babies on the beaches of Hawaii, so I really can’t complain. I consider myself lucky that breastfeeding has come easily for my sweet babes and I - even if it comes with an oversupply that leaves me smelling like rotten milk for 6 months or so. It’s #worldbreastfeedingweek, so I had a to share right? I’ll leave you with this: however you feed your baby and however you chose to parent; surround yourself with people who are supportive and encouraging...it makes all the difference. 7 weeks into this mother of two thing and living is easy. Well, sometimes it feels easy. Other times, my goal for the day is not to be pooped on or to simply eat something. Hope your Monday is amazing. Ours will be filled with the Daniel Tiger Potty episode on repeat. .

#ad @Johnsonbaby wants to make the world a gentler place - it’s one of the 5 promises that they made to parents. I believe that in order to make the world better and gentler, we need to start within the walls of our own home, with our own children. I promise to always smother Rowan and Piper with hugs and kisses whenever they need it. What are you doing to help make the world a gentler place? #choosegentle Photo Credit: @gracebytwophotography

Are you tired of me talking about poop? Well, I’ll try and control myself, but it’s all I’m thinking about lately. At least my hair and makeup look amazing in this photo. Right now, I look like a hot mess who has been trying to potty train all week while keeping a newborn alive. Oh wait, that has been my life. Please tell me your parenting win this week, I need the positivity! .

#ad One of the promises that @johnsonsbaby made was to be open and honest. When I was pregnant with Piper, I was worried about how adding a baby to our family would affect Rowan and our own relationship. My midwife gave me the best piece of advice regarding Rowan. She said Rowan would be okay and understands more then we think he does, so just show him love and he’ll be okay. And she was right...the morning after Piper was born, he came into our room, Brady and I were ready to explain to him that the baby was here. But Rowan acted as if Piper had been a part of our family forever. He’s adjusted way better than I could have imagined. Asking for help is hard, but I promise my little babes, when they need help or advice, I will always be there to listen and help. What’s the best piece of advice you have ever been given? #choosegentle Photo Credit: @gracebytwophotography

I’m posting a photo of Rowan’s sandy butt on the beach in Hawaii because potty training is driving me to places I have never been before. Seriously, I’m scaring myself. How much alcohol will it take until this boy understands the concept of using the toilet? For me of course...and I’m only just kind of kidding. 😉🍷🍺🍹🚽💩
