I love the Summer. Warmer weather, and longer days is the perfect combination for adventures. It does mean however that sunrises are earlier than before. But totally worth the 5am wake up call, to be greeted by this cheeky little ball of joy peeking over the horizon and through the clouds.
We need the tonic of wildness... At the same time that we are earnest to explore and learn all things, we require that all things be mysterious and unexplorable, that land and sea be indefinitely wild, unsurveyed and unfathomed by us because unfathomable. We can never have enough of nature. ~ Henry David Thoreau
First campfire dinner of the year, after an adventure down to Winspit Quarry. Something so peaceful and refreshing, listening to the sound of a roaring fire, and crashing waves. The smell of the sea and fire. Here's to 2017 being full of adventure and wonder.
Think less, do more. The thought of getting up at 5am was daunting, the thought of a lack of light was disappointing, the thought of not having a zoom less was less than encouraging, but in the end its not the crippling thoughts of self-doubt; its just about doing it! Managed to grab this shot of Lulworth Cove, as the sun rose this morning.
"Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
I'm itching to be out and about, exploring the forest, or the coast, wherever... but the weather is not on our side, so here is a photo from a few weeks back. Fitting really, as @phil_hector and I, enjoy a coffee, while patiently waiting for decent lighting conditions.
Not really one for New Years resolutions, but this year I want to make more of my time and opportunities. No excuses. Went to take a photo down Hengistbury Head, but the conditions weren't right. Someone else was taking photographs where I wanted to shoot. Rather than give up, I decided to make the most of what I had.
