As ETCAsia (the bible college that I'm currently studying in) officially launches, it's hard not feel excited. The faculty are amazing and the board are formidable. It's easy to get caught up in the idea that we're doing something great and important.
But yet, I'm reminded of the words of Isaiah the prophet, a close mirror of Nathan's gentle rebuke to David. "Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool; what is the house that you would build for Me?" In the midst of toil, study and dreams of grandeur, let us remember that we are merely man and that God is God. God is the one who builds His house.
