Seeking peace and quiet for the weekend we left super early and drove to E.C Manning Provincial Park. We spent the day hiking through through alpine meadows bursting with wildflowers with the deer and countless squirrels. There is nowhere else on earth I'd rather be
Black bear near Jasper- we watched him for a little while eat berries and forage for food over turning rocks and logs. Interesting behaviour I hadn't seen much of before usually they're just grazing on grass when I'm lucky enough to see them.
Yellowknife was a very interesting place to visit. Driving through Old Town we pulled over pretty fast to watch this guy just casually walk his canoe across the ice. Life up here is so incredibly different to the PNW I learnt so much in the short time I spent here. A few days later much of the ice had thawed thanks to some balmy 25C days
