Black bear near Jasper- we watched him for a little while eat berries and forage for food over turning rocks and logs. Interesting behaviour I hadn't seen much of before usually they're just grazing on grass when I'm lucky enough to see them.
Yellowknife was a very interesting place to visit. Driving through Old Town we pulled over pretty fast to watch this guy just casually walk his canoe across the ice. Life up here is so incredibly different to the PNW I learnt so much in the short time I spent here. A few days later much of the ice had thawed thanks to some balmy 25C days
After an amazing few hours watching the lights we reluctantly had to call it a night so we could be functioning adults this morning. I stared out the window the whole drive home and then as we pulled into the driveway this happened.
My home for the next two days. Waters Edge tucked into the Uclulet Harbour. Seals, Kingfishers and Bald Eagles catching fish outside my window with the not too distant sea lions sounding off from the jetty. Not a bad spot at all
