Seeking peace and quiet for the weekend we left super early and drove to E.C Manning Provincial Park. We spent the day hiking through through alpine meadows bursting with wildflowers with the deer and countless squirrels. There is nowhere else on earth I'd rather be

Kananskis is so wildly beautiful. Moose, mountains, lakes and sheep galore yet my favourite is this little guy. Golden-mantled ground squirrel

Not a bad view for lunch. Just your average day in Jasper it's pretty much impossible to take a photo without wildlife in it.

Road block Banff style

When you live in a place people go to on vacation sometimes you need to escape to somewhere quiet. Davis Bay, BC #sunshinecoastbc

Alpine hiking on Whistler mountain through these epic snow walls. With the amount of snow up here it's going to be quite a while before the trails open up but this is pretty darn cool.

Sometimes it takes a moment like this to remember how lucky I am to live in a place like this. So many 'wild' places so close to home.

Perfect way to spend my Monday, strawberry picking at North Arm Farm in Pemberton. Obviously followed by Lucia Gelato 👌

Black bear near Jasper- we watched him for a little while eat berries and forage for food over turning rocks and logs. Interesting behaviour I hadn't seen much of before usually they're just grazing on grass when I'm lucky enough to see them.

Wood Bison up in NWT last month. Already planning my next adventure north

Yellowknife was a very interesting place to visit. Driving through Old Town we pulled over pretty fast to watch this guy just casually walk his canoe across the ice. Life up here is so incredibly different to the PNW I learnt so much in the short time I spent here. A few days later much of the ice had thawed thanks to some balmy 25C days

NWT is spectacular alright. First time seeing wild bison and they're pretty incredible beasts!
