2 weeks ago Jeanne was aboard a airplane arriving at Stewart Airport when she collapsed on the plane and went into cardiac arrest.
A friend who was a RN at St Luke's was also on the plane and started CPR. Within 5 minutes of the 911 call New Windsor EMS and Air Guard FD arrived on scene.
Paramedics Midian Townsend, Lamail Townsend and EMT's Victoria McGuire Kartis and Chris Ruiz continued CPR and defibrillated Jeanne multiple times, they also performed Advanced Life Support procedures including using a LUCAS CPR device. Within moments her heart was beating and she started to breath.
Fast forward 2 weeks later, Jeanne is being discharged from St. Luke's Hospital.
Amazing job to everyone from start to finish, it was truly a team effort. (Permission granted by the patient to use photo and report the story)
