Having nice things is nice... but I’ve seen money and success tear my family apart, split up the best of friends, and cause so much pain. Money shouldn’t be the end game, but it’s a useful tool and a metric in the journey. Trust that the money will come when you have the character to sustain it. One of my favorite quotes about this: “Chase the vision, not the money, and the money will end up following you.” - Tony Hsieh, @Zappos CEO 💸💸 Do you resonate with this?

Has it been snowing at all where you live? 🌨🗻Winter is just that much better when it’s snowing, you’re checked into your hotel suite at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler @fairmontwhistlr and you’re about to hit the town — swipe left to see the suite and their incredibly festive lobby, and let me know what you think!

From the wagyu steak from Canadian AAA Prime beef, a delicious steak tartare made table-side, local fresh oysters, and organic produce grown by local farmers, the Grill Room at @fairmontwhistlr was the perfect decadent meal that happens to be just a quick elevator ride from our room. And seated facing their signature stone fireplace, this has to be one of Whistler’s most romantic spots. #FairmontChateauWhistler

Less than a 4 hour drive from Seattle, the Fairmont Chateau Whistler @fairmontwhistlr greets you as a grand lodge nestled at the foot of Blackcomb Mountain. It’s not only Whistler's landmark ski-in, ski-out all-season getaway, but it stood out to me with its impeccable service and over-the-top cuisine (just wait to see what we had for dinner). 🗻🏰 Definitely felt at home here.

It might be the middle of January, but who’s already ready for a vacation? 🚠🏰 Excited to recap my “home away from home” adventure in Whistler, Canada at Fairmont’s mountainside jewel, @fairmontwhistlr - nestled against the base of Whistler Blackcomb mountain's gondola, with a grand lobby and striking vaulted ceilings, and offering exceptional winter and summer sports access to the slopes. Stay tuned for more!

Sometimes you just gotta stop traffic... 🏎🚦🛑 Saying farewell to a Seattle icon, the Alaskan Way Viaduct!

Big dreams demand hustle. 💪🏼

So excited to be invited by @lexususa to the Lexus Performance Driving School at the famed @lagunasecaauto course in Monterey, California— an all-day track event that puts us in the driver’s seat of Lexus performance models like the LC 500, RC F, & GS F to learn advanced, hands-on driving techniques. 🏎🙌🏼 We’ll have timed autocross courses and even full-speed hot laps with professional drivers... I can’t wait! #DriveLexus 📹:

Patagon @patagonseattle in Seattle is pure fire. 🔥🥩 It marks a unique combination of rustic and refined Asado-style Argentinian cuisine centered around a massive parilla (or fire pit), with dishes such as their short ribs and pastas being decadent and flavorful and their cocktails being original and inspired. Make sure to check them out at @charterseattle and come hungry.

Failure is part of being ambitious. It’s part of being creative. It’s part of taking risks. If you’re going to start that one project: maybe it’s your personal brand, your business videos, your book, your speaking tour, or your fashion line; start this year. Just start. I know I will. 🧨 Tell me if you agree!

Do you know why I’m on Instagram, and why I’ve posted nearly everyday for the last 2.5 years? One thing I’ve learned over the last year is that business is driven by relationships AND relevance. Content builds relationships. Relationships are built on trust. Trust drives revenue. 💵 If you’re not putting relevant content consistently on relevant platforms, you’re going to be irrelevant. Period. 📉 Does this resonate with you?

I’ve often felt misunderstood, underestimated, an underachiever, a late bloomer— that chubby Asian kid that others would just want to copy answers from, growing up. That kid who had many hobbies but no direction or drive. That young adult who wanted to impress others because he didn’t feel good enough. I’ve failed in so many things. But I’ve also tried many things, but ultimately my worth isn’t defined by my job title, my career, my bank account, my looks or my family or friends. We all need to know our identity in God, and stay hungry and make moves. 💪🏼 If you relate with this, let me know!
