Experienced my first ever hike in the snow this past weekend and I absolutely loved it. Coming from Los Angeles, you don’t see snow too often so it was a welcome departure from the urban desert landscape that I’ve grown so accustomed to. I’ll definitely be doing more of these this winter. Wanna come? #DefinitelyNotRunyon

As all the trees on the mountainside were getting dusted by snow getting ready for a fast approaching winter, this lonely larch was like “Nah, I’m good. It’s still October.”

On my post the other day I mentioned how it’s so easy to see spectacular sights in the #PNW simply by looking to the side of the road ... well sometimes it also requires a ton of effort. Case in point - today I drove 3.5 hours from Seattle to the North Cascades only to get stuck in some crazy traffic on HWY 20, drove through wintery mountain conditions and hiked for a few hours in 32 degree weather to see this view. But it was ohhhh so worth it. The best views are the ones you gotta work for. And to think this was an easy one ...

So @jackharding was kind of enough to release some RAW versions of his amazing photography for his #JackHardingFFA this morning. Pretty fun to play around with @lightroom and interpret his imagery in a manner that reflects my style. Hopefully you guys like my edit just as much ... PS Check out @jackharding (his work is amazing)

What I love about the #PNW is how easy it is to see something spectacular. Sometimes all you have to do is look to the side of the road. Fog ✅ Changing leaves ✅ Mood 👻

“The sea is emotion incarnate. It loves, hates, and weeps. It defies all attempts to capture it with words and rejects all shackles. No matter what you say about it, there is always that which you can’t.” - Christopher Paolini

Lately I’ve been finding myself more and more in love with the open road. There’s something calming about being on the road to nowhere listening to a good Spotify playlist. What’s your favorite road trip and what are you listening to?

Spooky autumn vibes. 👻 On a side note, who’s ready for Halloween?!

Autumn is here but Summer decided to give #Seattle an encore the past few days. I can watch the ferries cross to Bainbridge a few more nights.

I couldn’t sleep Saturday night and I was a little upset that I spent the day lounging at home instead of doing this weekend road trip I had planned. Luckily, I mustered up some energy at 2AM and drove 3 hours north to catch this sunrise. I ended up having a pretty rad Sunday - went on 3 short hikes and was home by 4PM.

The information placard at the trail entrance said this is one of the most photographed mountain vistas in North America. After experiencing the sunrise here, I can see why.
