Jesus appeared to his disciples and prepared breakfast for them on this very shore after his resurrection.
He prepared a table in the presence of Peter's enemies, Peter's internal enemies of guilt and disappointment in his rejection of Christ. Peter would go on from this place to live a life completely dedicated to sharing the love of Jesus to all those who would listen.
In the same manner, during the same time, I kneeled on a rock in this place and offered myself up to Jesus. Allow me to feed your sheep o' lord.
This was one of the most powerful moments of this entire trip. The lord is my shepherd. “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
