•How much effort do you output in things that are important to you?
•What do you do when no one is watching?
•How do you live your life “off” of social media?
•Do you hold yourself in the highest of integrity?
•Can you maximize your personal efforts in all aspects without a reward or pat on the back?

Now repeat to yourself: How I do anything is how I do everything.
Maximize your life by living with purpose, with integrity, with strength & 110% effort in everything you do. Don’t show up & do half ass efforts. Show up fully, be present & give it all you got!

I often say this to people I’m coaching - when they feel like they can’t push through or feel stuck or just simply feel exhausted - I literally say “smile, it will help”. (Sometimes they look at me like I’m insane, but I’m ok with that too).

Let’s be SUPER honest here:
We all “hit a wall”. We all have our moments of “I can’t do this”. We all think “f%*k this, I’m out”...
I’ve had a few conversations over the past week where clients & friends shared their feelings or concerns, not just with training, but with life.

It’s not easy - and there are truly those days where you question the purpose & “why” - BIG TIME.
::
Sometimes I just listen, sometimes I share and relate... I’m no expert. BUT when it comes down to it all, I’m here. I’m present. I want to help. And if I can’t offer the right words, or if listening just isn’t enough, know that I compassionately care & at the very least, I will offer you a smile.

When life gives you lemons, simply smile.

On September 19th of 2017 (Day 1 of my YYT), I was asked to write down, “What does yoga mean to you?”. At this point, I had been practicing yoga for about 10 years off and on.
::
My answer:
Yoga is a self practice.
It’s unique and creative.
It’s a mental relief and focus.
It’s a spiritual belief and practice.
It can be shared and explored.
It can be fluid and still; graceful and honest.
::
Today is International Day of Yoga.
So I wanted to share some insight for what it is to me, why we do it, how we can feel and so on.
::
I feel like people often think, “I’m not flexible enough or it’s too hard or that it’s not for me, I can’t do that”...
::
Yoga is a process. It’s a practice and progress, like many things in life. It’s not just of the physical act of movement, flow and asanas, but so much more. It’s allowing your body to feel, to create shapes, connect to your breath, find stillness, a deeper understanding of the mind and spirit.
::
Yoga is for everyone. There is no wrong for what your body looks like in downward dog or any pose for that matter.
::
What IS important, is how good you can feel being on your mat, finding some peace and stillness, and to be open to the allowance for growth mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, and connectively.
::
Yoga to me is so much more and I’m so grateful for the practice, the people I have met because of it and how much I have grown through it.
