@hannapoledance makes all your pole dreams come true!! 💘✨ #pdtruegripayesha 😭😭 Swipe for my first, second, and third/final attempt of the day (no spotting, finally!!).
I've been poling for almost 3 years now: was super consistent in my first year and a half, took classes like 2-4x a week, and my progress was exponential (went from Intro to Level 1 to a solid Level 2 - this was significant! Considering I had zero muscle strength; I had never worked out a day in my life!! Except dance, which is mostly just cardio). Then starting Level 3, I went less and less, maybe bcuz each individual trick became that much more difficult to achieve, let alone stringing them together into fluid sequences. Progress seemed nonexistent and I became somewhat discouraged. And so the past 1.5 years, I stopped coming regularly; from once a week, once in 2-3 weeks, once a month, to once in 3 months. And so where I'm at now tricks wise is pretty much the same as where I was 1.5 years ago. I had shifted my focus from learning Level 3 tricks to just perfecting, choreographing, and performing Level 2 tricks, which I had performed 4x since.
What I never knew I needed to execute higher level tricks were: a little push, a whole lot of spotting (safety safety safety!! I'm a scaredy cat), an instructor who's completely focused on me, and just more time and individualized attention - aka privates! 😂 Yes, privates are 3x pricier, but I'm making more progress in 1 private lesson than I have over weeks of group classes! 😭😭😭 I tend to always, always just go for group classes but I'm glad @hannapoledance only offers privates soo 😂... THANKU HANNA for getting me back on track!! 💪🏼♥️
