It's easy to look at other people and wish you had what they have, or could be who they are. The key though is to look in the mirror and remember who YOU are, the battles you've endured to get to where you are, and the challenges you've overcome.
Sometimes when I start to feel like things aren't going how I've planned or become frustrated because "life " is happening and I can’t control everything. I have to step back and remember how far I have come in my own journey, no one else's.
I reflect on the times where I've been unemployed, depressed, and miserable just like many of you at one point in your life. I don't let those dark times get the best of me though. There will be days where I root for midnight, but ultimately I have learned to stop focusing on what I don't have, and learned to love and appreciate what I do have.
The little, yet ultimately the most important, things like food to eat, a bed to sleep in, and a loving family. If you change your mindset, you can change your world. One day at a time
