ALLOW ME TO SHARE HER FIRST JOB EXPERIENCE WITH THE CITY 🌃OF TORONTO PROUD MUM💁🏾 Happy birthday Darling 16 Today YAY! !!!!😊 🎉🎉🎉🎉 💝 💝 💝 💝 💕Bushira’s Journey💕💕🙏🏾 The most important journals through my experience at Yonge Street Mission take place on Thursday, August 10,2017, Friday, August 11, 2017 and Monday, August 28, 2017. These are my favourite ones from my experience here because those days taught me alot like what is the professional way to act, how to overcome obstacles, how to control my expressions, act, present myself outside and inside and I can never forget it. They all have highlights to me but these taught me how to be a young woman, that I am dedicated to be. I started off shy and unconfident but overtime I learned how to be confident in what I want to say without worrying what other people are going to say.
On Thursday, August 10, 2017 I learned how to write a proper permission
form regarding a trip and I learned how to answer questions critically when being asked. It was first hard when I was being told to do everything because I hate being told what to do. I had to overcome this because I wanted to learn different things even though it is irritating and annoying when someone keeps telling you what to do. I overcame this because I had to get in the right mindset and have a open heart to learning the things I didn't want to do. On Friday, August 11, 2017 I learned how I could engage my peers to participate in session and not feel left out. For my peers to participate is important because they gain their respect, learn how to not be a boss but a leader and gain different experiences. I also learnt how to observe everyone’s personality traits and use peer to peer support. In the beginning I didn't know exactly what to do and how to act towards them, I was stuck in the middle between being professional or myself as in a teenager. I had to learn how to be both at the same time and not make them feel like they are lower than me in any way. By giving them opportunities to voice their opinions allowed me to gain the respect i needed. On Monday August 28, 2017 I learnt a way to get peers to listen to you, without
