Booze & Bananas 🍷🍌
I choose not to drink every weekend, mostly because I know the repercussions it has on me mentally and obviously physically! annnnd it doesn’t interest me most of the time or fit my lifestyle.
But you have to make exceptions, always!
Picked myself up and dusted off last night with this booze blues cure!
FYI - Bananas are your hangover bestie. They contain healthy amounts of magnesium and potassium, which are depleted with the consumption of alcohol πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

2 things you should know about me before taking me to brunch...
πŸ₯‘ I will take longer than necessary to choose from the menu and speculate every option. I’ll most likely change my mind once I’ve seen what choice you make.
πŸ₯‘ if the meals are atheistically pleasing I will take atleast 5 minutes of your eating time to take a πŸ“Έ at every angle.
I’m a foodie, I will probably make your food go cold and I take brunching very seriously πŸ™‹πŸΌ

This I know for sure...
There is a lot of pain, pain and suffering in the world. Pain we bring upon ourselves, pain we cannot control, and even more pain that is inevitable to feel before the start of new chapters in our lives.
When I was sixteen I thought it was a curse to feel things so deeply. But I am no longer afraid ✨
It is earth shattering to feel everything all at once, an emotion to possess your entire being but in that fragility there is life's most meaningful and beautiful moments found.
How beautiful it is to feel love twice as intense as any negative emotion. To see the world at large and seek a purpose for every damn thing.
How beautiful it is to feel at all and leave a mark with your soul wherever you should go 🌊

You know what's better than reaching your own goals? Helping others to reach theirs.

You know what's better than winning? Getting stronger from losing.

You know what's better than being the most confident person in the room? Being empathetic towards others.

I've never been a competitive person. And for a long time I thought it made me weak. I know now, it makes me strong.

Strength that makes me feel all emotions necessary, strength that honours others, strength that encourages diversity. A strength that says WE not ME.

I've come to realise that the things we are tested with reflect parts of ourselves we need to work on, parts that need some weeding to grow. Instead of asking why? I've asked what? What can I change. What can I learn.

I've learnt that life is about getting knocked back. Getting heartbroken. Life is about growing. And we just can't grow without being in the most uncomfortable situations.

The kind people will come, the motivation and the passion... Trust your journey and take courage.

Life is about sharing extraordinary moments but life without understanding and empathy wouldn't be a meaningful life at all.

And the thing I'm most passionate about is empowering and educating others about mental health and why it is so important that we start the conversation.
There isn't one person you scroll or walk past that isn't going through something.

This past weekend was what I needed socially, emotionally and spiritually. I find when one of those elements in my life is out of balance, it affects my eating habits and the way I train.
But today I feel re-energised, ready to kickstart the morning with a green shake, eat an abundance of whole foods and lift twice my body weight πŸ‹πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ₯‘

I've always been inspired by the elegance and beauty of what yogi's can do. But I never thought I was capable of moving my body that way.
I love weight training, it's strengthens my mind and my body. But last month I started yearning for more. I wanted to move my body a different way that made me feel strong but also elegant.
I have a long way to go and hours of stretching to do but I'm determined to see progress. I'm surprised at how my body is bending in ways I never thought it could.
When you focus on how training makes you feel, you'll find what you love. And if you're not in love with what you're doing, take the challenge and practice something new 🌊

My life is solely focused on healing right now. In everything I do, I'm trying to put my mind health first. This is the foundation in which my obsession is built upon.
I don't think I'll ever be ready to upload such a vulnerable and transparent video. But If not now, when?
