Our dining/kitchen/breakfast/craft/sewing/mail opening/beer pong/dinner table is pictured here. Based on the description above, it’s usually cluttered with stuff. I spent quite a bit of time getting this area organized and I cannot believe how much better it looks!
I had the table made eighteen years ago after we did our kitchen/family room remodel and had it made out of old wood. There are so many memories that were made at this table, including our annual parents vs. kids beer pong tournament. It’s held thanksgiving weekend and yes, Dave and I have actually won a few times against our highly talented beer pong playing sons. (For those of you with young children, life does keep getting more fun as they get older.)
The huge peonies in the centerpiece were purchased @rosebowl_fleamarket last weekend. The vases are from @saveoncrafts. I made the chandelier, thanks to the incredible inspiration from @lizmariegalvan. All other sources are tagged.
I hope you all have a fabulous St. Patricks Day. And while I highly doubt I will be fine tuning my beer pong skills, we will be out tonight celebrating. 🍀

It’s not often we get a cloudy day in South Pasadena and I couldn’t resist snapping a quick photo when I went out to get the paper this morning. Since I was in my robe and jammies, I only took a few. 😂😂
Usually you will see light and shadows all over the front of our house. I kind of like how it looks on a cloudy day!
I finished an @oldbarnmilkpaint project this morning and can I just say ... I am so in love with this paint! I found a new milk paint color and painted a very large piece of furniture. But why do I always end up with the same amount of paint on me as the painted piece! I promise I will share it next week.
Our home is almost sage-green-spring ready and I am hoping to get the slipcover started tomorrow. (Yes, I am a bit nervous and am procrastinating a bit. Or a lot. 😩)
Before I get back to decorating, I wanted to remind you to check out the auction items at #kaseysflashauction to help a dear friend. Thank you and have a great Friday night. 🌿🌿🌿

I want to thank you all so much for your enthusiasm over my last two posts! Sometimes when I come up with DIYs I have a fear that you are all going to think my ideas are awful!😂 Thank you so much for all of your kind words about my garden table DIYs. I guess I will keep doing them! I even have received progress photos from many of you already trying the DIYs!
I was in tears last night as I watched the incredible reaction to my auction item for #kaseysflashauction. Some of us are auctioning off items to help Kasey @crafting_in_the_country and her family with medical bills after her husband’s accident. Be sure and go to the hashtag to see the items available in the auction. We would love it if you would participate by either adding your own auction item or bidding! My auction item is a week stay at our beach house. Just head to my last post for details.

The “Spring I DIYed That” Blog Hop is here! I have teamed up with some very talented ladies to share some wonderful DIY projects. For my DIY, I created a spring garden party and made the chargers and placemats in these photos. All of the details to make these are on my blog today. (Link is in profile.)
I am thrilled to be able to team up with my friends @saveoncrafts who provided me with the craft materials for my DIYs.
Be sure to head on over to my blog to see all of the fabulous items in this blog hop.
And ... there is one more DIY in these photos I will share next week. Can you guess what it is?

I thought it might be fun to give you a sneak peek of my garden table scape that I will be sharing tomorrow. I am doing a blog hop with a very fun and talented group of ladies. We all have a spring DIY project to share. And mine is this tablescape. I love these BoHo Beads made by my friend Kristi @thepickledrose. And all of my supplies for the DIY burlap placemats and chargers are from @saveoncrafts. Tomorrow’s blog post is really going to be fun!
This afternoon I have been painting with @oldbarnmilkpaint. In fact I am covered in paint 🤪 and loving every minute of it! This cabinet is going to look fabulous when I am done and I cannot wait to share.
Oh what a busy week. But it’s been fabulous!

Tomorrow on the blog I am sharing a very fun Spring DIY project. I hosted a garden luncheon party and I made the chargers and placemats and table! I might have over done it a bit. 😂 I can’t wait to share everything with you on Thursday.
Today on the blog I shared photos and my plans for my new slipcover project. I am intimidated and a bit scared but I found the best resource ever to help me! Her name is Lisa @farmhouseonboone! Her videos on how to make slipcovers are amazing. What I first thought was going to be a difficult task just might be possible.
Head on over to my blog for the full story. I would love to see what you think of my project. Did I get the right piece of furniture? Can you believe the fabric will likely cost me less than $40 to do the entire project? And can you believe how great those videos are?
Let’s hope this DIY goes as well as I think it will. Fingers crossed. And I would love to know if you think I am crazy (or not!🤪) to try this!

My fresh hydrangeas from @flowers_by_gallonei arrived today! And I love the color because it’s perfect for my spring decor. You should head over to my stories as today I shared how I arrange them and I also showed how to use flower frogs (see my post from yesterday if you have no clue what I am talking about!). 😂
These hydrangeas ship free from South America (fedex) and are absolutely gorgeous. They last one to two weeks, depending on how you take care of them, so watch my stories for tips. And they are cheaper than anything I have found.
I love these flowers!🌷🌷🌷

It’s Tuesday and here is what is on my list to accomplish. ▫️bleach dropcloths
▫️arrange flowers
▫️style dining room
▫️write DIY blog ▫️find sage colored pillows
So now you know I am finally making my first slipcover (out of the dropcloths), getting more hydrangeas today, styling my dining room for spring and writing blog posts.
Just a typical Tuesday.
Of course knowing me, this could actually be my projects for Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday. 😂 It does take eight hours to bleach a dropcloth and I have four pieces to bleach so I was right. These projects will take two days, not one. So what do I do with the task list I have already created for Wednesday?
This is why being a blogger is so stressful. I haven’t even started my projects and I am already behind. But the good news is I love every second of it.
Even if my house smells like bleach for two days.

It was a busy day as I was getting ready for my upcoming spring blog tour. I styled all day and took hundreds of photos. I did a lot outside in the backyard and somehow managed to pull everything inside before the rain!
I love decorating for spring! I picked a color for spring and it is sage green!
A few years ago I had a serious problem with sage green. It was everywhere in my house. My car was sage green. My art studio was sage green. A lot of my furniture was painted sage green. And all of my cloth napkins were sage green. 😂 I use to jokingly say I belonged to “sage green anonymous”. It was literally everywhere in my life.
Eventually I got tired of it After a few years most of the sage green was gone (except for the car and walls in my studio). And now, five years later, it’s back. 🌿
But it’s back because I never really got rid of it. It was just hiding. It was in closets and drawers and up on the third floor. Waiting to make a comeback. I guess you could say it was out of sight but not out of mind. 😂
So in the next week you will see some changes in our home. Sage kind of changes. I can’t wait to find out what you think.
Lastly, and just to make me feel better, i would love to know if you have ever had an infatuation with a color.
If not, feel free to make one up. 😂😂😂

I am so excited to share a new account with you all today. Jeanne @littlejoymarket is very talented and someone you need to know on Instagram. Her home (swipe left) is gorgeous and she also makes some very beautiful signs! They are all hand lettered! Plus, Jeanne is always sharing DIY projects in her home which I love!
Be sure to head on over to @littlejoymarket and show Jeanne some love!🌷

One of my favorite tools to use when I am arranging flowers is a flower frog. I started collecting vintage flower frogs last year (I know, another collection!😂)
I bought three vintage flower frogs (for $5 each) yesterday @rosebowl_fleamarket and posted a photo in my stories. (Swipe left for more photos.)
So many of you responded having never heard of a flower frog! So I thought it might be a fun blog post for today.
Head on over to my blog if you would like to learn more, including where this flower arranging tool got its silly name!
This might just be my most unique (aka silliest) collection. But I love displaying them in my flower arranging room. Do you collect anything unusual?
