a picture of a peaceful moment, with an amazing view, just before a dive. a dive that I couldn't imagine would be one of my absolute scariest and worst moments. diving down to 30 metres when the tank suddenly hits halfway in a scarily short amount of time. I showed my divemaster that the air is low, we continue swimming around and a little bit up. just minutes after the air is on the low-level, the level where I literally should be up on the boat, but we are down on 21metres. I signal my divemaster and we continue upwards, what he doesn't see is that the current takes me away and he keeps swimming further more far away from me. Shortly after I'm totally out of air. Panick appears. I happily succeed to hit him on the fin with my GoPro stick and he comes quickly with the spare air tube. I try to breath but the air-mouth piece is broken and I just swallow loads of water before I succeed to take a deep breath. A breath I didn't think I ever would take again. the longest 30 seconds ever and for the first time in my life where I actually had the thought, that "im going to drown now". very mixed feelings of this accident, and why it all happend. and so quickly! just the feeling that things can happend and turn out so fatal, so quickly, is incredible scary. just happy that we never dive alone, that I had the best support up on land, and that I'm here, breathing, and happy. Life is so precious and something we should never take for granted 💙 the ocean is a great wonderful amazing and yet scary thing and something to have total respect for. Take care of each other out there on the big blue 🙏🏼
