Feelings are not facts. Fact is that too many people, common AND celebrity, think it's ok to take your time, money, energy and your confidence because they can't afford quality service
They have no idea how many days we give up with our families and kids, the hours we spend cleaning our kits, the fatigue over how to market yourself, build a website, offering consultations, drafting contracts, disinfecting brushes, learning new techniques, crying cause after 3 months it still doesn't look right! But you keep pushing... Imagine... if you have a hard time matching your foundation how hard it is for us artists to do it on all skin tones.. THEN the time it takes to learn to do it WELL
Don't miss that part... you can do it but can you do it well? 🌾👀🌾 This applies to all creatives: Artists, painters, poets, photographers... it doesn't matter
If you've invested into your BUSINESS it is your duty - NOT YOUR CHOICE - to charge accordingly so you can keep running your business professionally. People that wanna be mad don't understand business is NOT personal. Fact.
And before someone tries to come for me before I send for them let me be clear... *** clears throat*** I'm running a full time business over here and it costs
I've also invested multiple years into my craft and am an expert. Yes. Expert. I'm not speaking of cheap artists that want to charge a lot but can't clean a brush properly, have no understanding of contracts and let alone can't even blend. Yeah I said it 🙄 That's not a solid business, it's a hobby if you treat it that way.
I don't need to be validated and real talk have not had these problems in years. I'm speaking on behalf of so many I hear discouraged, crying and ready to give up because not even family or friends support or respect their time
You teach people how to treat you and I'm gone make sure that all close to me stay lifted up AND paid. Comment your thoughts below, repost and share!
