So. So. True! πŸ™Œ
I never thought I could run before, because I knew my poor little legs just couldn't keep up with the speed of other runners. And if i tried, I would quickly lose my breath and burn out.
It wasn't until my friend ran a half marathon, with an 11min pace, that I realized that it might be something I could do.
She taught me that it wasn't about how fast I was going, slow down if I need to, it was about doing it.
I am a runner. I may not run fast. But it doesn't matter.
I choose to lace up my sneakers and go for it! That's what running is all about!
Today I ran my fastest 4 miler yet, at a 10min pace.
And it was HARD!
And it had me quickly worrying about injuring myself. My poor legs just don't move that fast πŸ˜‚ and I felt my knee lock up a few times.
Initially I was upset, like seriously why can't I do this?! Then I remembered that speed has nothing to do with it!
I am so proud of myself and the fact that I choose to run. Running is hard.
It takes a lot of mental strength and will power.
And it's given me so much confidence.
It's taught me to believe in myself. It's taught me that I can do anything. πŸ™Œ
It really is true.. running will change your life! πŸŽ‰

Post run I completed the toned abs routine! I wanted to do LG Legs.. but I wasn't going to put my legs through anymore torture this morning 🀣πŸ”₯

Good morning girls!! β˜€οΈ Whoever said you couldn't get a good workout from yoga was a liar! 🀣 (Although for the longest time that was me πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ)
Last night I completed a core strengthening flow that had my core, as well as my arms and legs on πŸ”₯!!!
And this morning I did a 10min warmup on the bike followed by LG Pull and a yoga flow for relaxation.. which felt like the most amazing way to start this Wednesday!
And tonight ⏸ although I'm a little afraid of it πŸ˜‚β© I'm finally going to complete @katrinaascott 's yoga booty workout that I've heard so much about!
I love that you can really get anything you want from yoga, a good stretch, a major sweat, strength training.. it's all there!
And it makes your body/mind feel so. dang. good. πŸ™πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈ
So glad I am finally putting in the work to create this new passion!! πŸ’—πŸŽ‰

#truth -> I go to bed every night at 9pm, so that I can get up at 4:30am and get in my workout!
No it's not easy, and yes it look me a long time to stop hitting that snooze button πŸ˜‚, but I've learned that if I'm truly putting myself and my fitness first, morning workouts are the best solution for me!
That way, I can get in that run or HIIT workout before my brain wakes up and realizes what's going on 🀣
And also, so that nothing in my day can get me off course! πŸ‘Š

Happy day 1 of the #summertoneup !
This morning I completely destroyed my legs ☠️πŸ”₯
- 10 min warmup on the bike (which is honestly enough of a leg burn πŸ˜‚πŸ’¦)

- TIU Ball WO
And tonight I'm planning on a walk or yoga flow and a bit of abs πŸ€—
Followed my workout up with a spinach/tomato scramble and coffee β˜•οΈ πŸ’•
Whose ready to kick this new challenges BOOTAYYYY?! πŸ‘Š

Getting my meal prep started first thing, so I can have as much time with my hubs as possible today πŸ€—β€οΈ
Yesterday's workouts included a 4 mile run, hamstring yoga, and my first pure barre class with @reneemarie8912_tiu & @janelle.tiu !! Holy shake!!
Today's workout will be lg Pull & a yoga flow to help relax some of these muscles!
Tomorrow I plan on started to checkin everyday with my meals to keep accountable!! 6 weeks until Jamaica!
And I can't wait to jump in to the #summertoneup tomorrow! πŸŽ‰

Ended the work week at @cb.traderspoint with my #tiubestie (who is officially an Indy girl πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰) and that class did not disappoint!! πŸ’¦

In the winter of 2012, I accidentally discovered the girls and the beach babe DVD, and used it to tone up for our wedding!
Fast forward 3 years, i now owned beach babe 2 and regularly used the dvds, I heard about #fitfiercefab and the book tour and begged my mom and sister to go with me to meet my trainers! When I met them, I literally couldn't find words to tell them how grateful I was .. actually all I got out was a 'your so beautiful!' At that time, I would have told you they changed my life! But it wasn't until I met them that I truly dove into the tiu community!! And now I know these girls have done more for me than I ever could've imagined!
Fast forward another 2 1/2 years.. and I finally get to see them again! And this time I'm not taking any chances πŸ˜‚ even if I fumble over my words and get too nervous to tell them how grateful I am in Nashville, I know I'll have another chance 2 days later in Chicago!! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

I am officially a month into my new fishy diet 🐟 🐠 and I have no desire to go back to my old eating habits! πŸ™Œ
Honestly, with my love of animals, I've always thought about giving up meat. I just didn't want to deal with the burden of making different meals for myself and my husband.
Truth -> it's been so easy! And he's so supportive! When he's had hamburgers or chicken on the grill, he's just made me a veggie burger instead! When we've made spaghetti or some form of pasta, he just kept some sauce separate for me πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ
Andd I've seriously increased my shrimp intake πŸ˜‚
My biggest fear has always been protein, I was so afraid I wouldn't get enough especially with all of my workouts, but thanks to @toneitupnutrition I've been watching my intake everyday and have had no problem hitting my protein goals! πŸ™Œ
