I never thought I could run before, because I knew my poor little legs just couldn't keep up with the speed of other runners. And if i tried, I would quickly lose my breath and burn out.
It wasn't until my friend ran a half marathon, with an 11min pace, that I realized that it might be something I could do.
She taught me that it wasn't about how fast I was going, slow down if I need to, it was about doing it.
I am a runner. I may not run fast. But it doesn't matter.
I choose to lace up my sneakers and go for it! That's what running is all about!
Today I ran my fastest 4 miler yet, at a 10min pace.
And it was HARD!
And it had me quickly worrying about injuring myself. My poor legs just don't move that fast 😂 and I felt my knee lock up a few times.
Initially I was upset, like seriously why can't I do this?! Then I remembered that speed has nothing to do with it!
I am so proud of myself and the fact that I choose to run. Running is hard.
It takes a lot of mental strength and will power.
And it's given me so much confidence.
It's taught me to believe in myself. It's taught me that I can do anything. 🙌
It really is true.. running will change your life! 🎉
Enough on that 🙃 LOL
Post run I completed the toned abs routine! I wanted to do LG Legs.. but I wasn't going to put my legs through anymore torture this morning 🤣🔥
