What would you do? They were trapped, upside down, dazed and unable to free themselves from the seat belts. Most people slow down to look, some maybe say a prayer or even pull out phones to take a pic or video. They'll shake their heads and secretly thank God it's not them or anyone they personally know, but ultimately they keep on driving to go about their day (I didn't do any of that...) I immediately pulled over, jumped out and into action helping the 2 other Men trying desperately to safely pull the 2 young ladies out of this car. Praise God neither one of them were badly hurt. A few scratches and shaken up, but not hurt.
What's my point? There's a moral callousness saturating our society. We've been desensitized and deprogrammed to care... Its the fabric of our humanity and We MUST get back to the basics. I don't know about you, but lately I've see too many of us lack the empathy to simply help one another. (With $$$, time, information, support or simple compassion) Do me a favor... Take a moment to tell or show someone you care. Tag them, send a text, call, visit, give, share, pray for, support, help or just show up to love someone a little harder. Like the 2 girls trapped and struggling to get out of this car, you never know who's dealing with their own story of struggle also. You have the power to stop, intervene and help.. 👌🏾 #BackToBasics 🙏🏾
