Some late night thoughts for you all:
I wrote my senior speech on labels and stigmas. Now that I’ve gained a following on social media it’s something that’s brought to my attention a lot. I just wanted to remind you all that social media is an image. You see what I want you to see, but unless you actually get to know me you will never know much about me from this page. For instance, all these posts contain content where I look my best and you would probably assume I’m a pretty vain person, but you don’t see me 5/7 days of the week when I’m wearing no makeup, my dirty hair in a bun, and sweatpants to my classes. You don’t know many of my interests, what I stand for, or what I’m like. I choose what I want to keep exclusive to my real life. It bothers me when someone thinks they can know anything other than a minuscule fraction of who someone is as a person based off of an Instagram account. Enjoy social media, use it for what it’s good for, which is observing and portraying images, there is nothing wrong with that! But never jump to conclusions and attach an account to a persons total identity. That’s all ❤️.
