Shane Breen back among the prizes with third place finish in Oslo
Tipperary's Shane Breen has scored his second top-five placing of the weekend at Oslo's five-star World Cup fixture in Norway.
Breen and the Team Z7-owned 10-year-old stallion Laith were one of seven combinations to jump clear in the opening round of today's 1m50 - 1m60 sponsored by Rikstoto GP. Just three combinations managed to go clear in the jump-off with Breen and Laith taking third place overall with a clear round in 43.39 seconds.
Victory went to Germany's Daniel Deusser when last to go with Tobago Z (43.00), while Finland's Juulia Jyläs took runner-up spot with Courage T Z (43.08).
Breen finished fifth in Friday's 1m50 speed class with Ipswich van de Wolfsakker at the same venue, where the opening round of the 2017/2018 Longines FEI World Cup takes place on Sunday.
