Robert Whittaker announced today that his broken hand suffered at #UFC225 which required surgery will keep him out of action until 2019.
-
Per Whitaker’s interview with ESPN
-
"I haven't even started the rehab process yet," Whittaker said. "Just more letting it heal first before I can implement that. They put a plate and some screws in (on the right hand). Realistically I'm looking at February next year."
-
Whittaker and Kelvin Gastelum will act as coaches for the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter, and although the coaches typically fight in and around the #TUFFinale, it appears an exception will be made to hold off until presumably February.

Or.....INTERIM TITLE! 😑

Cris Cyborg has voiced her displeasure in waiting for Amanda Nunes to fight for the WFW Title. Cris has been pushing for a September fight but Amanda sustained an injury to her right foot during her win over Raquel "Rocky" Pennington at #UFC224
-
Amanda has agreed to fight Cris during the year end show in December, but this would surely be the last fight on Cyborg’s UFC contract. Cris has been unhappy about the UFC’s decision to not grow the Featherweight Division, instead booking Bantamweights moving up to 145lbs to fight her. Most recently, the upcoming season of TUF which highlights the Women’s 145lbs Division features 8 fighters BUT only a handful are true WFW’s. The UFC has also not tried to bring over talent from other organizations to populate the division and build a queue of challengers for Cris.
-
Cyborg is without a doubt the biggest female draw in the UFC so hopefully both sides can come to a resolution.

Colby "Chaos" Covington takes a not so subtle jab at Nick Diaz who hopped on social media to explain his annoyance at what the UFC, and specifically Daniel Cormier; has done to the sport.
-
The word “wrestlefuck” may have been used in Diaz’s statement. It ended by Diaz calling for a Title shot against DC...which we all know won’t happen.
-
Colby brought up Diaz’s recent allegations which landed him in hot water with the police a couple weeks ago.

Stipe Miocic was taken back by Brock Lesnar’s appearance in he ring and said he wanted no part in the circus the UFC was putting together.
-
Miocic especially didn’t like the way Brock tore into him and other athletes calling it disrespectful, saying he didn’t think the UFC was about those tactics - really tho?
-
Miocic believed he would be interviewed by Joe Rogan following the fight to ask if he’d be interested in a rematch with Daniel Cormier, which he obviously would be. Instead Brock came storming in cutting a WWE style promo.
-
"I want a title shot. I deserve it," Miocic said. "[Lesnar] hasn't fought in how long? For him to get a title shot, as I get thrown to the side? It just seems like they are desperate for pay-per-views.
-
"I cleaned out the division. I defended it more than anyone, and you're gonna tell me I don't deserve a chance to get it back? Get out of here. Kiss my ass if you don't think I deserve that."
