As a strong generation of millennials I think we have all found ourselves in a place of realizing that some train of thought or action or habit or lifestyle isn’t what we believe in anymore. Maybe through life experience, reading, conversation or revelation from Jesus, we realize that this (thing) we have been practicing, preaching and proclaiming for so long (or short) suddenly we don’t identify with anymore. And goodness, that can be scary.
Our pride may take a hit...and certainly our insecurity swells. But let me encourage you in this, it happens to the best of us - the ones that are still growing, reaching and climbing. And you will find support from those around you that are doing the same. Isn’t that what having like-minded people in our close circles are about?
Don’t be afraid to change. Don’t be afraid to voice a shift in your life if that’s what YOU need to do for you. At the end of the day, movement and change happen because your brain and heart come into agreement and belief and action come together to birth change. It’s ok. Find your support. Hold them close.
