Having a Waldorf moment here 😍watching Emilia work on the board she made in woodworking class. Using thread and the nails on the board, they practice their number paths (multiplication tables). #secondgrade#waldorfkid 🌈#livingvicariously (If you listen closely, you can hear her whispering the path of threes.)
"As you move through this life and this world you change things slightly, you leave marks behind, however small. And in return, life — and travel — leaves marks on you. Most of the time, those marks — on your body or on your heart — are beautiful. Often, though, they hurt.” #RIP
I got on my soapbox in stories this morning to express concern and frustration over the video game Fortnite. I’m getting so many messages from other parents who are shocked and horrified by the violence that we as a society are exposing our kids to. One woman suggested I post it here so everybody could read the comments. So...here you go. I am DEEPLY worried about normalizing violence to children and sending hypocritical messages to them about being kind + compassionate + peaceful people and letting them engage in this sort of play. How can we say we hate gun violence, march for better gun laws, cry for the dead school children and shrug our shoulders about a 7 year old collecting “kills” on a game like this? No good can come from this. (Also, I am aware there are WAAAAAY more violent games out there but this one seems be the most popular one in the elementary age group.)

“In Gratitude....for the children.” That’s what the Waldorf School’s gala on Saturday night was all about! It was a super fun night and a HUGE success thanks to all who participated. ❤️ Fun photo booth too that the gala committee used after too many glasses of 🥂🥂🥂.
Headed home to California and feeling super grateful to have spent time with these 6 beautiful souls this past week or so. It isn’t easy to leave behind (a collective) 15 kids and 7 husbands, but oh, it was so worth it! I highly recommend a ladycation to you all! #ladycationmallorca#whatthefinca#sonrullan
