you should never feel like you’re a failure for needing or wanting help. . . . .
there’s such a stigma around medication, therapists or any sort of professional help. . . . .
no one has a perfect life, there’s no one who has zero problems. some are more surface level and some are more serious. every person has them regardless. . . .
people always feel embarrassed for needing help. NO ONE HAS A PERFECT LIFE. EVERYONE GOES THROUGH SOMETHING. PEOPLE CANNOT CONTROL THEIR MENTAL HEALTH OR SITUATIONS THAT HAPPEN TO THEM. . . .
be proud that you have accepted the fact that you need help. use i are so strong. you are courageous. you are working on YOU and that is applauded. you are looking to better yourself and hopefully improve your mental health or to help deal with certain stresses in your life. you do not owe anyone any sort of explanation. . . .
putting yourself and your mental health first will change your life. . . .
you deserve to live in the best possible way. pain is the worst and there should be no shame in dealing with your issues. . .
society has a stigma that your life needs to be perfect. you need to bottle up everything and act like nothing gets you down when in actuality you’re hurting badly. . .
it’s okay to be vulnerable. it’s okay to share your life with safe individuals and it’s okay to medicate if needed. . .
you’re NOT crazy. .
you’re NOT sick. .
you’re a human being with chemicals and emotions and life situations. . .
take care of yourself and those struggling around you 💖 . . .
all my love and support,
mira xoxo . . . .
