LONG POST/RANT:
In the midst of studying for finals I forgot to post about my workout yesterday. I had plans to hit back and as I was stretching I felt like switching and doing legs. My last set of squats I hit 185 for 7. This isn’t a PR for me, but I haven’t even tried squatting 185 in a few months. My leg days have been pretty stagnant & trying to pinpoint the reason behind it always takes time. (Part of this is due to a lack of motivation, so if anyone wants to get a lift in, dm me!) 😇 •One thing that I’ve been learning recently is acceptance of my body during each season. Around this time last year I was the leanest I’ve ever been, and right now I’m sitting at a not so lean 172(ish) pounds. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t base a number on a scale to tell me if I’m healthy or not, but social media likes to draw more attention to lean muscular individuals, despite the fact that body composition fluctuates & not everyone’s goal is to have a 6 pack. Here’s some progress pictures from a year ago to now. If you don’t already take them, you should, pictures help motivate you a LOT once you start seeing results. 🤘🏼

For those of you who don’t know, next fall I will be transferring to Southern Wesleyan University in Central, SC to get my Bachelors in Exercise Science. I was also offered a spot on their new division II lacrosse team 😭 no words can fully express how thankful I am to be given such an opportunity🙂 Go Warriors!

It is important to be transparent about this journey. Not everyone is willing to point out their “weakness” or times of struggle, but I believe it is important. I haven’t had any PRs recently, my eating hasn’t been as clean as it was, and my focus hasn’t been 110%. But, I know that this low point for me will not last and I will get back on track. If you feel lost or aren’t exactly where you think you should be, trust that this time of struggle will bring something even better in the end👊🏼

Don't waste the season of life you are in right now because you want the next one to come 🌷
