▫️BUCKWHEAT ZOATS ▫️
Tried these out for the first time today. Mixed half buckwheat with half oats, grated courgette/zucchini, almond milk, frozen blueberries and mix in some mashed spotty banana at the end for sweetness. Topped with pumpkin seeds, goji berries, chai seeds, brambles, almonds and Greek yogurt.
The buckwheat gives a thicker grainier texture, Sonny loved it 💖

Here's some glute exercises that I've been doing lately and then swipe to see the results. Pic on the right is two months ago. I'm really pleased with the progress 🍑Two or three times a week I'll include a superset (2 exercises back to back) of glute specific exercises. Here it's raised glute bridges and kick backs. This is on top of my usual compound exercises like squats and lunges. A couple of months ago I set out to get a curvier bum. Probably I was influenced by all the booty posts on ig (as well as the recurring thought that I need to train for and enter a bikini contest 😂😳🙄 absolute bs.. this is the effect of having instant access to elite althletes and pros... you start to think you need to be one. Firstly I don't have the time, second it would be a very unhealthy life choice for me personally to make) Anyway sorry for the way long bracketed info. Moral of the story was meant to be - It's pretty cool training to make a very real difference to the shape of your body. We all have a set body type (endomorph etc) but you can still make a huge difference through correct training and diet. Have a great weekend 😘

Chocolate maca #zoats for lunch today, it's just what I fancied 😋 Oats, maca powder, grated courgette/zucchini, Almond milk, cocoa powder and choc shot topped with chai seeds, cashews and fruit stars. Later for dinner we had this yummy warm salad with chicken, scrambled egg, steamed mangetout, avo stars, blueberries, mixed seeds, cucumber noodles on a bed of baby spinach and pea shoots. I just love making food look pretty, I'm sure it's going to come in useful when Sonny is older. 🥑🥗🍌🍉.

#trx this morning. I knew this would be a toughy so I did this first straight after my warm up. Managed 3 rounds which isn't too shabby. Loving this little tune I found on the editing app 🎶🎸

▶️Walk puts - this was going to be a walk out press up but I could only manage the walk out part 😆it was enough though. You need to watch your back and keep it straight, and especially for me as post pregnancy I get lower back niggles so it's not worth busting it to try and show off 🙈

Bring on the ☀️ 👙#tbt to two years ago ☺️This was a lovely holiday. At the time I worked in a gym that rhymes with shmanamtynes teaching classes and on my feet for long shifts as well as my own training and eating really well, so I was puuu-retty lean although I had less muscle so I think I actually have a better shape now. Like there I had a bit of a flat ass 😆Ahh sorry... could pick at myself all day 🤦‍♀️Anyway the point I was getting at was I felt ok in my clothes and miraculously packed really well so I liked everything and wore it all -result ✔️Hoping I manage that for our next holiday 🤔last time was just four months pp and I was in between sizes, I literally packed an entire wardrobe for Sonny and me ....wore around a tenth of it 🙈

This is my favourite ab exercise on the bench at the moment, hip raises then lower to legs extended out horizontal and repeat.
Girls I have to share these fantastic leggings with you, my new absolute favourites and for a bargain price. They're high waisted, have the perfect elasticity and are a great length. There's a 'favourite leggings' special in my stories today. These are so good I'm going back to get another pair today... or maybe two... 🤦‍♀️Was up early (baby teething) scrolling through phone, crazy to think my little boy is nearly one! Breakfast today was the oaty blueberry muffins I baked yesterday and a vanilla and blueberry protein cream with passion fruit and pomegranate seeds. Thought the passion fruit would be too tart for Sonny but mixed with the Greek yogurt cream he loved it. For the muffin recipe see yesterday's post. The protein cream is Greek yogurt, protein powder, vanilla essence, and blueberries blended up.

Did this easy little BOSU workout today. I had a friend ask for something simple she could try in the gym (without the risk of falling flat on her face) so here's a pretty straightforward full body routine. ▶️Press ups
▶️Side lunges
▶️Jump burpees
▶️Squat jumps
▶️Crunches/extensions
Bosu = instability = great for the core. Also as I keep mentioning (sorry), I get bored easily so circuits like this where you have to think a little keep me occupied. This set's a good calorie burner with a bit of strength chucked in.
I did this four times over, as many as I could of each move. Then 30 minutes fast incline walk as I edited the video - brilliance of having the treadmill is I can combine my morning tasks 👍Although i used to edit while feeding Sonny or trying to eat breakfast but my phone would usually end up kicked out of my hand or covered in porridge 🙄

This was the superfood salad I had for tea last night. Did I lovingly prepare each of these wholesome dishes with my own fair hands...? Eh, no. They were from Tesco. BUT ◽️◽️s w i p e ◽️◽️to see I did redeem myself today with these healthy oaty cinnamon and blueberry muffins.
Dead easy recipe:
▶️1 cup oats
▶️1/2 cup coconut flour
▶️1/2 cup wholemeal flour
▶️2 eggs
▶️1 large ripe banana
▶️2 teaspoons baking soda
▶️ground cinnamon
▶️1 tbs agave syrup/or sweetener
▶️blueberries
Grease a muffin tin with coconut oil and bake for 20-30 mins at 180 degrees.
Sonny gave these his seal of approval, good for a snack later after swimming. Yep even babies get school holidays and the classes are back after the Easter break so we're off there soon. Hope you're all having a lovely day back to the grind 🙄xx

Morning all, happy bank holiday. We're just getting ready to go for a hike, Sonny will be riding on my back in the ergo. Hopefully it stays dry?! We go on holiday next week, yay, so I'm trying to include as much activity as possible in my daily routine. Burn more calories = lean. I was in the gym early today doing a HIIT body weight session, just a mix of the workouts you see on my page and core.
The top in that picture is hilarious if you wear it on a bloaty day, think overstuffed sausage. It works in public only if you're prepared to hold your breath and flex all day.
◽️Swipe ◽️ for some gorgeous cinnamon raisin bagel thins (which are Sonny's new love food) with boiled egg and light mozzarella slices.

Happy Easter morning 🐣 I started the day off with a magical Easter sunrise service in a church yard at 6am, pics in my story. Then home for cardio and a big ◽️◽️FOAM ROLLER ◽️◽️session because my legs and glutes are still sore from my core bag lunges the other day!! (See previous post)
Foam rolling can be a little workout too if you really use your weight and upper body strength. The more weight you put on it the deeper into the muscles you'll get. Did you know that a foam roller actually stretches the muscle, lots of people think it's like a massage but actually it rolls out and stretches the muscle fibres just like a rolling pin stretches out a piece of dough. A little bit of pain or discomfort is normal, especially if like me you have doms. But I love it - it aids recovery and gives a bit of relief if you're really sore and tight. Although you don't have to be sore... it should be part of your weekly routine however most of us honestly don't do it enough. 🤷‍♀️
