Ladies this may come as a shock but if you want to truly build your booty, you’ve gotta eat! Yes, you have to lift weights but the buns don’t build by themselves...I’ve started a new meal plan thanks to my bff/office supervisor @scottgoblebodybuilder and to be honest I’m struggling to get all my meals down because there’s SO much food. It’s a lot of healthy nutritious food,I do feel like a whale to be honest but if it was comfortable, then it would be easy & nothing grows in your comfort zone. FYI I’m not prepping for any comps, just prepping for life...💁🏽‍♀️

...if you ever find yourself thinking “but I have no choice” take a minute to reassess. I’m feeling focused again and keen to break the 200’s but it’s going to take some time to build my strength back up. I lose muscle mass when I eat junk food and train less, so it’s time once again to clean up my diet, eat all the good food and redirect the gains from my chipmunk cheeks to my butt cheeks! As I’m sure the master @bretcontreras1 himself would agree there just... #aintnobootylikeahipthrustbooty ---------------------------------------------------- REPOST > managed to get up to 190kgs this morning with hip thrusts, although as you'll see in the video they weren't the greatest Reps lol 🤷🏽‍♀️. .
Being the first time going this heavy, I'm surprised I could even lift it off the ground haha considering how petite I am, moving forward I'll be focusing on becoming more comfortable with this weight and improving my form. .
170kg, 180kg and 190kg hip thrusts featured in the videos although today's session started at 100kgs for 12 Reps along with band work to warm up, progressively reducing the reps as I increased the weight. Even at 190kgs, I still didn't feel it one bit in any part of my back 😋 #happylittlethruster

...Current Shape 💁🏽‍♀️ I have to be honest in saying, despite my endless “honesty” posts about starting over, cleaning up my diet or getting back on the grind with my training, I’ve been so bad! 🤦🏽‍♀️ Why am I sharing this? Because whilst I did contemplate pretending to be “killing” it or “smashing” things, I’m so far from where I want to be, physically and mentally and I’m just not one to pretend. I’m happy with where I’m at, considering how naughty I’ve been with my meals and how slack I’ve been at training. No matter what though I’m not a quitter, it’s ok to struggle and not be ok, every new day is an opportunity to start over and that’s what I’ll keep doing until I get back on track! 🙏🏽💜

#BACK - Lat Pull Down’s or Rope Pull Down’s, which do you prefer and why? ————————————————————————
Personally, I don’t have a preference but curious to see if anyone does and why? These days when training back in particular, I tend to go for a lighter weight because I already have a fairly developed back as it is. If I were to go heavy, this could potentially increase the thickness of my back and traps which is not ideal, being a bikini competitor. ————————————————————————
Currently, my aim is to continue to build a well balanced physique, hence for my specific body, I tend to lift heavier when training my lower body only and stick to either high rep/light weight or circuit work when training my upper body 🤓 ————————————————————————

...Weight Plate RDL’s + Smith Machine Hip Thrusts - Definitely two staple exercises for me when it comes to training Glutes/Hammies 🙌🏽 💯
———————————————————————- Personally, I prefer to do 5-6 Sets of 12-15 Reps on each exercise - Plate RDL’s, love doing these standing on a bench or box to allow for maximum stretch, focusing on pulling up through my glutes/Hammies and leaving my upper body muscles out of the movement, squeezing at the top of each rep. ————————————————————————
SM hip thrusts, anyone who’s been following me for a while knows I love hip thrusts with a free weight bar/plate BUT I have learnt to love doing them this way, especially since I’ve been short on time lately and due to being sick, haven’t been able to lift as heavy as I normally would. Slowly getting back into routine, one rep at a time! Give these a go and let me know what you think?
