Did you know your gut is actually extremely important in a whole range of functions and one that isn't working well can make you pretty miserable. I've suffered from sore stomachs and discomfort since I was a kid, however since I started looking after my gut I can honestly say I hardly ever get a sore stomach now or suffer bloating. Read on to find out why your gut is so important and for everything I do to look after mine ⬇️
▫️Good gut health will help you maintain a flat stomach. If your digestive system is working well you'll have less bloating and/or sore crampy , windy tummys.
▫️An efficient gut will help you absorb maximum nutrients from your food and help food pass through smoothly.
▫️Ask yourself how often you eat because you feel kind of sick or you have heart burn? Stomach discomfort can often lead us to eat when we're not hungry.
▫️There are strong links between the gut and mood, anxiety and depression. For more on this go to www.globalhealingcenter.com/natural-health/link-between-depression-anxiety-and-gut-health/
G O O D G U T H A B I TS 🔸I strongly recommend taking a probiotic capsule daily (more potent than milky shots, some evidence to suggest these are ineffective) 🔸Eat plenty fibre: wholegrains, fresh clean whole foods, fruit and veg.
🔸Drink loads of water, at least 1 litre per day.
🔸Try including fermented food and drinks in your diet such as Kefir, Kombucha, Sauerkraut, Pickles, Miso, Tempeh, Natto, Kimchi. 🔸Yoga and stretches around the core work like an internal massage. Try cobra or a lying, twisty side stretch to ease out cramps.
Sore bloaty tummies .. be gone!🌸😘
