Thank you for the overwhelming response to yesterdays story!
It is without surprise that the most common question asked was, "What's this moissanite I keep hearing about?"
With its big sparkly appearance and affordable pricetag it is no wonder why it has everyone so curious. Naturally discovered in the late 1800s, yet
too sparse and rare to take over the jewelry industry, they began synthesizing the stone in labs.
To my fussy standards and lack of knowledge I was not originally enthusiastic about selling moissanite, until new brands hit the market
and truly impressed us all; they are now so closely
similar to the natural white and lustre of a diamond even experts have trouble telling the difference with their naked eye.
Their popularity has grown so much due to their affordability, diamond like qualities and because
they do not involve any land mining procedures.
At a fraction of the cost of lab diamonds, exceptional quality and brilliance and absolutely zero guilt, why wouldn't you choose moissanite?
Well, the most common question clients ask me is... "What if people find out?" And to that I say, "So what?" Tell them. Tell them what a great ethical choice you made, how incredibly affordable your decision was and
above all, flaunt that beautifully, blinding, little piece of silicon carbide around and be proud to wear it.
If that doesn't work for you- lie. They won't tell the difference, I promise.
