Crazy to think that a week ago my dreams came true. 🏆😊 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

All of my hard work paid off and now I’m proud to be apart of the IFBB Pro League. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

For months I had marked on my calendar “Time to go Pro!” on June 15/16th. The countdown app in my phone would read “x weeks until Pro Card”. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Dare to dream BIG and start chasing your dreams NOW. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Without action, nothing is possible. Sure, there is chance and chance does happen occasionally, but do you really want to leave your dreams up to chance? Even though I felt confident in my physique and my prep was easy, breezy beautiful (#covergirl 🤣)...my body, both physically AND mentally was placed under a great deal of stress. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What am I doing to combat the stress? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Towards the end of prep I started tapering my caffeine intake and I plan on sticking with that throughout my improvement season and reverse. I allow myself 3 cups of caffeinated coffee but after 5 pm I only let myself have 1-2 cups of de-caffeinated coffee or herbal tea. My adrenals are shot from relying on coffee/caffeine and this can cause your cortisol level to rise, high BP, trouble sleeping, increased HR, and more! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🧘‍♀️ REST & RECOVERY 🧘‍♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Less is more. I have implemented yoga on my “active rest day” which is today (it is “active” because I still have fasted LISS and HIIT in the evening) and then I take Saturday and Sunday completely OFF from training and cardio. I haven’t practiced yoga since my freshman year of college (about 4 years ago) so pretty surprised when I nailed some rookie inversions post-flow. I’m so excited to improve on my yoga and flexibility! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

You work hard day in and day out for “X” amount of weeks but then you lack the ability to showcase that hard work when you are on stage. Presentation is a HUGE part of competing. This year I felt so much mor at ease and way more confident on stage and I have @kennywallach to thank for that! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

After Anthony’s show, the final stop on the way home was at Roadhouse Steakhouse. Being 3 weeks out at the time I brought my cold rice and beef in and ate it in front of the basket of rolls.
