Mater Dei Scholar Bowl 

Congrats to the Scholar Knights! They went 2-1 in their first 2A sectional since 2006. They destroyed O'Fallon 400-180 and pulverized Alton 430-130, but fell short against Carbondale 290-360. Ben Logullo led the team with 16 tossup, followed closely by Ethan Schumacher with 10, Nick Tonnies with 8, and John Hund with 5. Jaden Meadows, Alex Norris, John Hilmes, Anthony Lepore, Drew Potthast, Minh Lê, and Alex Rivera also contributed to the victories. The Knights end their season with a record-breaking 69-5 record. Go Knights!

The Scholar Knights took 3 spots in the top 5, with Ben Logullo winning Player of the Year, Ethan Schumacher taking #4, and John Hund taking #5. Go Knights!

The Mater Dei Scholar Knights win their regional! The Knights plowed through Mount Vernon 410-170. They then faced Mascoutah, and pulled out a win 350-190. Their third and final match was against Belleville West. The lead changed 7 times by the end of the match. Going into the second to last question, the Knights were down by 10 points. After a science tossup was grabbed by Ben Logullo and the Knights swept the bonuses, the Knights took a 30 point lead. John Hund sealed the victory with a phenomenal history tossup. The Knights closed the match with a final score of 310-260. Ben Logullo led the team with 9 tossups, closely followed by Ethan Schumacher with 8, John Hund with 7, Nick Toennies with 6, Amber Littiken with 3, and John Hilmes and Alex Norris both with 1. Alex Rivera, Anthony Lepore, and Minh Lê also contributed to the wins. The Scholar Knights also improved their record to 67-4! Next, the Knights will face off in sectionals on Saturday.

Congrats to the Mater Dei Scholar Knights! Going into the 5th round, the Knights were 2-2. The Knights barely edged out a win against Williamsville, ending up 3-2 for the day. Toss up totals for the day: Ethan Schumacher-9, Ben Logullo-16, John Hund-7, Nick Toennies-3, and Jaden Meadows-1. Alex Norris, John Hilmes, Alex Rivera, and Minh Lê also contributed to the wins. The Knights are now 64-4. Next up: The Knights host their regional on Monday!

On Tuesday, the Scholar Knights defeated Carlyle, central, and wesclin, averaging 410 points a match to win the Clinton county tournament and take home the trophy! The Knights are 61-2 after the tournament.

After enduring their first loss in 5 months, the Mater Dei Scholar Knights win First Place in the Metro East Quad League Championships. Mater Dei beat Althoff 310-290, lost to Alton 310-280, and beat Belleville West 270-200. The Knights are now 58-2, with an unfamiliar first 5 on 5 loss in almost a year.

Mater Dei sweeps their last games of the winter season, finished at the top of the Metro-East Quad League at 26-0. The Knights are 50-1 on the year, 47-0 in their fall and winter leagues. Up next for the Knights are the MEQL championships in two weeks.

The Mater Dei Scholar Knights continue their rampage as they sweep another quad tonight. The Knights are now 20-0 in the Winter league and are 41-0 total this season.

The Scholar Knights improve their impressive season by sweeping at Highland and are now 29-0 this season.
