Ain’t no mountain high enough! 🗻 Mohit Bhandari (head of Orthopaedic Surgery), three of his grad students and two of their partners in the Canadian Rockies ventured up Mount Temple, to learn teamwork and get outside their comfort zones. That's a seven hour and 11,200-foot climb! #mcmaster #mounttemple #mountains

Have you seen these structures on JHE Field? They are called WigWam Homes, also known as birchbark houses (Native American houses). It is made out of wooden frames wrapped with ropes or strings of wood to hold the bark in place. They are on display as part of the Indigenous Games in the Cultural Village. #2017NAIG @to2017naig

Hi again, and thanks again for watching my takeover of Mac's story! My name is Reidun Garapick, and I'm currently in my third year of Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour (PNB) at Mac. I spend my summers working for the Canadian Coast Guard as a coxswain for the Inshore Rescue Boat program. This year I've been stationed in Pictou, NS with my two deckhands, Riley & Claire. I chose this job because I hope to go into the field of first response, and the Search & Rescue aspect of this job is the perfect taste of what I one day hope to do in my career. While the IRB program allows me to pursue helping others each summer, McMaster has also given me the amazing opportunity of joining their Emergency First Response Team, allowing me to improve my skills and (finally) figure out my career goals. While I may spend my summers on the East Coast, I always looks forward to getting back to my home at McMaster. --------
The IRB program is a Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP), which allows post-secondary students to find interesting and applicable summer jobs. The application for the IRB program can be found at:

Say Nuclear Reactor! Every summer, the McMaster Nuclear Operations and Facilities group hire undergraduate students from various Faculties to work as research assistants at various nuclear research facilities on campus. As a souvenir, every year the students get their photo taken standing on the bridge directly above the nuclear reactor. Science rules🔬!
