The boy may have taken a break from boxing and the gym but he’s found happiness in @caitlinshaw11 joined the family at @del_pieros ( huge thank you to @liamftz ,Ryan and the team) he is half way through his exams and he got his ass back in to training.

Losing condition and size, just knowing you could be better, that you looked better before yet you haven’t stopped working, you haven’t stopped eating clean, you haven’t skipped gym days can really mess with your head.
Bodybuilding is the art of developing the muscles so in definition it is a goal that can never truly be achieved, it’s an unforgiving beast that requires a relentless work ethic and the further we progress the more we see room for improvement. After a series of unfortunate events sometimes we can’t see light at the end of the tunnel, even when things are going well we are waiting for something to go wrong.
Health, Wealth and Relationships are the 3 biggest factors that effect our lives and recently I’ve been a casualty of all 3.

Appearance vs Physique? In the beautiful world of Insta more and more pressure is put on us and the next generation coming up to flaunt our looks, our wealth, possessions, status and relationships. Posting body beautiful images from the Maldives or pics in our latest whips, maybe it can be seen as a fickle world of self absorbed narcissism or a case of us sharing our triumphs and achievements with our friends and the Insta Comunity. For whatever reason we post what we do it can certainly promote jealousy and hatred or maybe it’s healthy competition inspiring others to achieve. I prefer to think it’s the latter and hope I show others that I came from nothing and am nothing more nor less than anyone else. ARE SQUATS IMPORTANT???
HELL YEAH, PROBABLY THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT EXERCISE IN BUILDING MUSCLE AND BURNING FAT. Before you say, I can’t squat heavy because of this injury or that injury just listen..... Even light squats as little as 40kg x 20 reps x 3 sets have proven to be more effective than cardio or diet. Legs are often the most neglected body part in the world of physique and body building, when doing squats we are working 3 major muscle groups, legs, core and back, this in turn makes the body produce growth hormone and burns fat for up to 12 hours post workout.
Personally I don’t do much cardio but I train a 6 day split and 2 of those days are leg day. I maintain separation in my quads and a 6 pack all year round with this simple exercise.
When starting out, to get good form and perfect the exercise we should have our heels on 2.5 kg plates, feet about shoulder width apart so we don’t open the pelvis and put pressure on the lower back, keep the shoulder blades pinned back, head up and slowly squat right down to a sitting position and then drive up through the heels.
Your body will only let your upper half grow to a size your lower body can carry, hence bigger legs-bigger upper body! When doing squats we contract our abs and core as we go down and as we drive up we contract our hams and glutes, basically there is no better exercise for changing your physique than squatting!!!

Progress Or Digress

So current condition ain’t anywhere near competition ready so unfortunately I won’t be competing at IBFA BRITISH FINALS ON SUNDAY. Thank you all for your support but yes @gm_fitness23 you were right. This physique just wont cut it 😔 Most of you know the level of commitment required to compete especially at national level, you need at least a solid 6 months of rigorous evolving training and diet along with a huge amount of time, devoted every day to the cause, the financial commitment alone between groceries and coach isn’t an easy task to begin with. I know i am making excuses but let me explain, since the burst appendix in January I’ve lost around 10kg, my head and heart have been all over the place with toxic relationships, my financial status hasn’t been on point with 6 weeks off work, to compete properly with any hope of placing never mind winning your mind, body and soul must be 100% committed to winning. Im not prepared to do something half heartedly. It’s all or nothing so best of luck to everyone on stage, I hope you all killit 🤝💪🏼🏆👊🏻. As for me, I’m hoping to have a nice summer, try to stay lean, maybe a nice holiday or two and see where life goes with @roberta.henry.5, I need to pick a show, a date and a category and begin prep once again, but hopefully work towards a show we can both compete at together and along with the help of friend and coach @neilandersonpt I believe everything must be right, my house must be in order, not just physically but in all senses, financially, emotionally and spiritually to truly compete with the hope of winning. You need the support of your loved ones, you need the drive and motivation, you need the financial stability to maintain your lifestyle and provide for you and yours, you need to be the best possible version of you that you can be. Some people see kindness as a virtue, to others it’s an opportunity to exploit.
To be wise and kind means a collaboration of give and take and creates friendships and bonds relationships.
When people abuse that trust and use your good nature to subsidise their lifestyle and existence they become leeches sucking the life blood from your very soul until there is nothing left and then they move on to find the next host, leaving you drained financially and emotionally. Being deceived in to trying to have a positive effect on someone’s life only for them to have a negative effect on yours.
Pray for wisdom to differentiate between the real and the fake, but show kindness at every opportunity. Is the greatest reward not to make someone happy that truly appreciates it and returns that happiness and kindness when you are in need. To forge life long relationships with people that want the best for you and them.
Some people don’t love you, they don’t even care about you. They just want to stay connected to you. They love the benefits so they do the minimal....What they are really doing is maintaining a connection so when they need you they still have a way in.
