It’s been almost two years since I took this shot and the other night I spent a few minutes reflecting on it. I had a poor understanding of the manual settings on DSLRs and rolled the dice in getting a decent exposure many times. The learning curve is slightly straighter these days. I’m still pretty fond of this shot, even if it was the subject that made it stand out. Sometimes it's fun analyzing what people mean when they say things that, boiled down mean; “If I had better equipment, I could get good shots, too.” Getting this photo on a decade old, hand-me-down Canon Rebel from @hannimal123, that you’d really have to haggle up to get more than $50 bucks for at a pawn shop, and a $15 tripod, still make it a rewarding one.
