First track and field race to my last race as a Monmouth athlete. I was so slow freshman year, but many miles later and with good coaching, I was able to win my last steeple race. I still get butterflies thinking about that race which motivate me to lace up and hit the trails. Coach used to tell us, "are you as fast as you want to be?" and after I stepped off the track that day I knew that was as fast as I'll ever be and I'm happy it was with him. Today running looks more like an adventure than a workout. I love finding hidden trails and shady paths. So, let's all lace up for #globalrunningday and meet up with our favorite paths.
