At the weekend my Dad brought me a present, a new sander. I've just used it for the first time to sand the old bathroom door 😁😁 got the husband priming it now 🀣

We had vinyl fitted in the conservatory today, temporary flooring until we can afford to have the roof replaced and extend it slightly.
We had our first family meal at the table 😊🍝

It was officially moving in day on Saturday, after living with my parents for exactly 8 weeks. Moving out of our old house was such a rush as we didn't have space to store anything. At the time the whole house was being plastered and I was over 40 weeks pregnant (which didn't help).
On Saturday I was extremely stressed & an emotional wreck due to the mess, not knowing where anything was & the fact the sink was in the living room, but as soon as the TV was on the wall & we sat down with our takeaway, it suddenly felt like home πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘¦β€πŸ‘¦πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

Message to all if you smell gas, called National grid 0800 111 999. They usually come out within the hour, it's a free emergency service and if theres a leak, they'll make your house safe. It's something I didn't know before today... In November we had a new boiler, every now & again i thought I could smell gas.
At first I thought that it was because it was new or the smell of the building work. I asked my dad and husband if they smelt it but they said no.
I didn't want to call an engineer out for nothing & look silly or risk a major call out charge when money is tight. Then we got a huge gas bill & my mum said she'd smelt it too. I was supposed to ring the company that installed it to get someone out but kept putting it off as with 2 kids to look after one being 7 weeks old, I barely get time to eat and drink myself.
Feel even sillier now, knowing there is a leak which could have caused a serious incident. The national grid have capped our supply so no heating or hot water till it's fixed and we're supposed to be moving in on Saturday leaving me 1 day to get the gas company to come out whilst having 2 kids to look after! Please have your fingers crossed for me 🀞🀞🀞

Kitchen ordered and they gave me a free Neff dishwasher!! Just waiting for our installation date, super excited is an understatement😁😁😁 May still make a few amendments but my favourite part is the grey stone effect worktop with curved edges πŸ₯‚

Kitchen tiles started today... well done boys, Looking goodπŸ–’
Got these on clearance for Β£5 per sqm, love a good bargain πŸ˜™

Busy week for the workers!! Extra insulation to help keep the bath hotter for longer πŸ›πŸ€— The husband thinks NASA will want to hire him to wrap the next shuttle πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜‚

New bed for the big boy! πŸ›Œ (😭 growing up too fast) First thing he did was jump on it, good job he's wearing his helmet.
Love ikea furniture, so easy and quick to put together πŸ›

Stairs and bedroom 3 carpet fitted. It's looking and feeling more homely everyday πŸ’ž

Love my new kitchen light!!! It's so bright 🌞 The rest of the kitchen is still a work in progress while I decide what units I want. There's just too much choice out there!

Never realised how much stuff we'd accumulated until we moved, I don't know where to put anything!!! Our 3 year old needed more storage for his toys. He helped put this shelving unit together and insisted on screwing it together by himself. For a 3 year old he's a DIY master x

Before and after shots of our lounge. We've had the walls skimmed, removed the fireplace, new radiator, skirting boards, painted and yesterday new carpet. Starting too look like HOME 😁😁😁
