In all seriousness, we are a country who loves to slap prescriptions or labels on people. Now before you jump on me saying people need prescriptions, I agree, some ailments need a pharmaceutical grade drug. BUT, I strongly feel that should be AFTER lifestyle factors are taken in to account and changed. If you’re eating crappy foods(people are eating fast food at an all time high), inactive(we sit at a desk all day and then come home to sit on our couches), staying up till the wee hours watching tv and only logging 4-6 hours of sleep, if you’ve replaced drinking water with coffee, juice, or soda, if your job sucks and is bumming you out or if you follow the classic “I’m too busy” or “I’m getting older so these feelings are normal” attitudes about your health, then something needs to change. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Those factors all have a huge impact on your mood and mindset, sex drive, energy levels, performance in the gym and your attitude in general about life. Before you dive down the rabbit hole of medications to fix those issues, try looking at your habits and see if you can make some positive changes first. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Get outside! Walking just 15 minutes each day can improve mood and gets your blood flowing. Start drinking your water. If you’re drinking as much as you should be daily, it would be harder to also incorporate those sugary drinks. Go to bed at the same time every night and wake up a the same time every morning. Our bodies like consistency and a good sleep routine will do wonders for your health. Don’t accept the fact that feeling run down and unmotivated in life is a normal side effect of getting older. THIS IS A LIE! Start making small changes in your life today, you’ll be amazed at how such a small change can make a big positive impact on your life. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
