Post workout brekkie this morning... more 'summery' breakfasts have been craved lately so you know the weather is getting warmer 😏 @chobaniau w vanilla protein powder for flavour with all Aldi toppings: frozen blueberries, pepitas, almonds & cacao nibs. πŸ’―

Experimenting in the kitchen for me involves healthier versions of a classic favourite! πŸͺ❀️

If you want to know when it's due to start pissing down with rain just ask me when I'm planning to go running, because chances are that's exactly when it will happen. Just gotta get it done πŸ˜› #latergram from yesterday.

Been super neglectful of this account lately- between working, uni, training, maintaining something of a social life and all the other bits and pieces that life brings it's been pretty hectic! However I can say I'm feeling motivated & inspired ✨ today's lunch: chicken and stir fry veg (frozen mix) on a bed of spinach, kale, broccoli & pumpkin (the perks of working in a health food cafe= an abundance of healthy salads on hand and raw desert 'testers') 😏 loading up to do a session with 800m reps after work and then uni until 8pmπŸ’ͺ🏽

I marshalled a half marathon today held by my running club and then when all the competitors had finished I ran some of it myself πŸ€— got absolutely drenched in the rain but felt comfortable maintaining my pace, went into autopilot and got it done βœ…πŸ˜Ž

Cruisey recovery run this morning at one of my favourite running spots in Melbourne, The Tan/Yarra trail β˜€οΈ it was so calm and peaceful this morning. Just under 6 weeks until my first half marathon woooo πŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈ

Went to bed last night with a solid plan for today, then I woke up and saw the weather outside and it all went out the window 😌 chores + uni work have been pushed back a few hours, with this mornings schedule consisting of a beach walk & this delicious brunch: poached egg & potato rostis on a bed of sautéed mushrooms, beetroot hummus & goats cheese. No regrets 😎

Had pictured taking this impractical but aesthetically pleasing photo in my cute courtyard, however discovered the back door was deadlocked and my bf (who isn't home) has the only key. This resulted in both the realisation that if there was to be a house fire in the next 5 hours before he gets home I could be in trouble, and the shoot would have to be relocated to the front step πŸ’πŸ» Cacao bliss balls with @loving_earth choc chips scattered throughout, yum. 😍

Sunday = long run day. 16 rainy kilometres done and dusted πŸ‘πŸ½ Showered, fed and now I've parked myself on a beanbag by the fire to spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing, bliss πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ
Hearty and warming chicken shepards pie, bulked up with heaps of veggies and topped with a sweet potato & pumpkin mash. I made this 2 days ago to have a bulk ready made, healthy meal on hand for when I can't be bothered cooking (aka now). Also pumpkin skins are still on because I'm lazy πŸ˜‹

Last Bryon holiday spam. Delicious mango margaritas from @missmargarita_byronbay. I follow an 80/20 rule with my health and nutrition. I train 5-6 times per week, mainly running with a couple of weight sessions thrown in, but I generally listen to my body and may switch a weight session for a long walk or yoga depending on how I'm feeling. I suppose you would label my diet as 'Paleo-ish', with 90% of the foods I consume being meat, fish, veggies, fruit, eggs and nuts. However I have quite a large weakness for cheese and chocolate so I can't label myself as a pure paleo. I don't count calories or macros, I still drink alcohol 1-2 times per week (red wine being my biggest weakness of all hehe). My current goal is to race my first half marathon in just under 2 months. Eventually I would love to run a full marathon... hopefully that's a journey I will document here. Also not pictured are the snapper tacos with mango salsa I devoured without taking a pic for the 'gram because I was ravenous and ain't nobody got time for dat πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€
