💜 A L I G H T 💜 Autumn can challenge us. The rise in #vata energy takes us up to the ether & air - unrooting us, and leading us further away from our certainty. We may worry more, feel increasingly anxious, suffer disturbed sleep & just feel extra ‘busy’ in our minds. 💜 Our bodies, too, can feel less resilient. Fragility, dryness, lightness, and a sense of being ‘untethered’ can creep in. 💜 The lungs are often affected - dry coughs that linger; eyes & throats & noses more likely to feel tight or sore; and more air in our digestive tracts too 🌬
💜 We balance #vata with many things - sweet, sour & salty tastes (in #Ayurveda, the #rasas); marrow-deep warmth, an extra soft quilt, layering of cotton, wool & cashmere, the warmth of fires & candles & puttering diffusers, oily baths & extra for massage, sesame to lubricate & heat, castor oil to wrap around our centres & bring heat...
