Also, can I just point out how AWESOME @_emily_janice is for shooting these amazing graduation photos for me!? Please, please, PLEASE go check out more of her content on her website: Iโ€™ll also be putting the link in my bio for easier access!

Glowing because Iโ€™m sunburned, or because I love my job? ๐Ÿ™ƒ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ๐Ÿ€ #CarolinaFamilyWknd

Before starting my college journey 6 years ago, I just knew that I had my whole life planned out. I knew that I would go to the University of North Carolina, only to one day achieve my lifelong dream of walking across a stage in a Carolina Blue cap and gown. And my next big dream to achieve would be to take pictures for Sports Illustrated. Ever since I was in high school, more than 6 years ago, I knew this would be the path I would take.
If thereโ€™s anything the last 6 years have taught me, itโ€™s that the best laid plans often go awry. Iโ€™ve hit every bump in the road that a college student can hit. I transferred. I changed majors. I took time off, only to return to school and hit the books hard for two straight years, enrolling in every semester and every summer session during that time period. I lost sight of the dream I once had for my future after collegeโ€”I dropped photography and picked up math (and the funny thing is, I take pictures more now than I ever have before). I questioned my major change many, many times, and I often felt like giving up entirely. But for the past 24 hours since I completed my last college exam, Iโ€™ve only been able to think about all of the positives that these last 6 years have brought me. Iโ€™ve made some of the greatest lifelong friends. Iโ€™ve experienced new places and adventures. I was blessed with the best job a college kid could ever ask for. I witnessed two Final Fours and one National Championship. I was given many opportunitiesโ€”opportunities to learn more about myself and my abilities, opportunities to build relationships, opportunities to network, and opportunities to find a true post-grad dream job! Nothing about my college career went as planned, but I learned how to adapt to change and roll with the punches, and now I can FINALLY say that I am a college graduate. Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout this long journey, and thank you Carolina (and App State) for the opportunities and experiences. NEXT STOP: Dean Dome, where I can begin my post-grad dream job, and where (in another 4 months) I can finally achieve my dream of walking across the stage in a Carolina Blue cap and gown ๐ŸŽ“๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“ท๐Ÿ€ #GDTBATH
