I’ve found myself comparing my strength recently to others, especially on Instagram, remember your strength is relative to YOU and you only

Go to the gym to look good? Go for it!
Go to the gym to be a strong badass? Do it!
Go to the gym for just general health and fitness? Why not!?

Whatever your goal, do it for yourself, no-one else. Don’t let what people say or do get in your way, if you focus on you and are determined, you’ll continue to smash goal after goal🏋🏼‍♀️

Quad focused leg session (+hip thrusts&glute finisher) completed✔️

My workout split at the moment is just upper and lower, to keep things simple.
On upper days working on my: pull-ups, bench and OH press, and trying to maintain size💪🏻
Splitting my leg days into: quad focused, hammie focused and a full glute day- all lower days including hip thrusts and glute finishers at the end...cause can’t get enough🍑

Also trying to improve my squat, front squats today- I managed to hit 4sets of 2reps @60kg, and 1rep @62.5kg, then failed a few times @65kg🙄(1RM PB 72.5kg) improvements already made from a few weeks ago➡️➡️➡️

Nothing much else to say here, rest day for me, and doing a sleep-in at work. Looking forward to finishing tomorrow, going to the hairdressers for a consultation, then gym for an upper body sesh🏋🏼‍♀️

Stretching really aids in your recovery, reducing post workout DOMs and helping you to develop larger ROM- it means you leave the gym less stiff, in a more relaxed state and it also feels gooood😍

I’ve been on holidayy, it was nice to have some time off posting onto Instagram, you can get so caught up on it so easily, so it was refreshing to take a step back and chill

Back to it now, will be training legs today, in my new Adidas adipowers that finally arrived😍

LETS TALK ABOUT FAILING‼️

So I’ve recently started squatting and deadlifting again after my lower back injury, and after missing lots of training and drinking more than usual over Christmas and New Year I was a bit ambitious with my leg session today

Swipe➡️➡️➡️ to see me failing on my front squats. This is @60kg, where my 1RM is 72.5kg

We can’t have 100% workouts 100% of the time, we all have bad days and good days, this is how we learn and grow! You’ve just got to be positive about things like this, we all fail, it’s part of life. Yes the gym was pretty busy and quite a few people saw me fail, but who cares...Happens to the best of us, am I right⁉️

I’ll get back to it soon enough and smash my PB, after this I focused on my form with a lighter weight💪🏻 (as seen on my story)

On a better note, I did get a hip thrust PB of 4sets of 6 @140kg🤪

Great burn out for your hamstrings at the end of your session, I did 3x15reps
Keep your hips off the floor throughout the movement

If you don’t have a TRX you can do these with your feet on a Swiss ball, I’ve posted a videos a while ago doing that variation⬇️
