I have recently been talking to a newer planner who is struggling to explain her value in the sales process, feeling like so many couples need planning and ask for coordination.β €
β €
Here are three tips I shared with her I would love to share with you:β €
β €
1. Ask about who they are, their wedding details and discuss their concerns BEFORE discussing what you do and packages you offer. Often if you come right out with asking what they want you might be stuck in that coordination conversation.β €
2. Once you identify their concerns, schedule limitations and expectations it's important to EDUCATE your potential clients on what you offer and why it is a good fit for them. If you do not paint the picture of how you are meeting their needs, they likely will select based on price. β €
3. Walk through the process. Hiring services is challenging- especially if they never have. Walk potential clients through what they can expect so they understand how much help they will have throughout planning.β €

Meet Tayler : Creative and Marketing Director at @aisleplannerβ €

Hi planners!
I started working with Aisle Planner 2 1/2 years ago and was just in charge of social media. That quickly changed when I saw how many things could be done! I grabbed the opportunity I saw and ran with it!β €
I'm a pretty solid mix of Type A and Type B personalities. Everything around me is organized in height order from left to right (descending of course) and front to back. But, I roll around without makeup and messy hair all the time.β €
My days are filled with collaborating with different wedding industry professionals to tell their stories, showcase their expertise, and help them save time by using Aisle Planner's planning and business management tools!β €
Sneak peek: I'll be talking all about ways to streamline your work as a wedding professional at Academy and am bringing my work-wife and AP Director of PR @sparklefarkle with me! Plus, I will be sticking around for all 3 days - I'm SO excited to meet and get to know everyone!

I was talking with a vendor friend yesterday and we were discussing how we have achieved some of our goals in the past few years. We talked about seeking out venues we wanted to work at and creative partners we wanted to team up with.
What are you doing to meet your goals for yourself and your business? What are your goals? Are they short term or long term?

Here are three tips that have helped us :
1. Show your best work. Show the work and pretty things you create, show your happy clients. Show the world what you are doing. Use social media to show venues, vendors and potential clients who you are and what you are capable of.
2. Do the best job you can for every single client. Every client might not be your ideal. They might be tough, they may not always be at the venues you want. Treat every single client as though they are the most important. Doing your very best for each and every couple will pay off in reviews, referrals and propel your business forward.
3. Share with friends, family and creative partners what your short term and long term goals are. The more you talk about them, your likely to open doors for yourself and connect with others who can help you.
