Every May, I visit my sophomore math teacher at Kamehameha, Mr. Fukuhara, to debrief on the school year and to seek his sage-like counsel. This year was no different and the pearl he casted upon me was an idea he calls "convergence points." In life, often times our greatest and most defining moments are clustered together. So, too, are our most humiliating and crushing. This was one of those years. Alongside the triumphs and accolades came crushing loss and hard lessons learned. Fortunately, I find deep solace in my support system. My family, my love, my teachers, and my friends. I am blessed to have you all in my life. Now, I relax with a much needed getaway with my second family. Have a great summer everyone!
