Yesterday, I had the privilege and honor to be able to listen to a truly remarkable man, Bernie Sanders. He is fighting against all odds to win the Democratic nomination. Not taking money from giant corporations but by 8 million individual contributions. He is the least covered candidate on the news and when he is their favorite question to ask him is "will you support Hillary if you lose?" This man is labeled a socialist for the social programs he would like to institute. Programs such as universal health care, free college tuition, and social security reform. All these ideas are called "radical" yet are implemented in various industrialized nations. He also views Global Warming as a big threat to civilization. As an evolving humanitarian these are views I firmly stand behind.
Being at this rally reminded me why I care so much about the welfare of this country and the world; THE PEOPLE.
People have a way of positively altering chemicals in the brain by simply smiling. All the smiles, cheers and hope this one man brought to thousands of people was incredible. So when June 7th comes along, I will gladly stand in line and give my one single vote out of millions of people in Los Angeles County, because every vote counts and I encourage you to do the same.
Maybe you'll vote for Hillary because she's more of a household name and she LIED her way into your heart.
Perhaps you live in fear of Terrorists, immigrants, Mexicans, Muslims, and all different "minorities" in this great DIVERSE nation and feel that building a wall solves a lot of this country's problems. And even though this man has NEVER had anything to do with politics, you feel he can help the economy because of his business ventures then you'll vote for Trump.
As for me, I prefer to live in love a have hope in humanity. I hope it flourishes while I'm here and long after I'm gone. There is only one name on that ballot that I could vote for.
