Nine. Seeing you at nine months has me thinking a lot about firsts and the work put in to get there.
I remember when you began to crawl. You'd stretch, you'd plank, you'd lunge, slowly inching closer and closer to chasing the cats around. Then one day in Montreal you glided across the floor with speed and ease.
Today you pull yourself up on everything. You know you've done something amazing, smiling through your accomplishments and turning to ensure we are watching. You even made this two level open concept loft seem somewhat child friendly by conquering the stairs.
So whether these are your first steps or the stage just before, I love witnessing the connections and clapping along with you. You'll learn a million more things in life and each time you look over your shoulder and wonder if we're watching, you already know we always are.
