Having Leicha after teaching a fantastic bunch of ladies at Novena. @debisamonster why you so smart 😂😂
On a side note, while I was having this, there was a group of ladies eating beside me, all relatively slim. And then along comes their colleague, looks like an intern (young sweet looking girl but really overweight). She begin to eat her tabao food and then the ladies around the table remarked that her food is too little for her. I looked over and it was by no means little, there was rice, curry, meat, tempeh and veggie - a substantial portion. They keep insisting it’s too little and ask her to take theirs (because they can’t finish). One even spoon over a plate of curry chicken, potato and rice for her. The intern kept insisting her portion was just nice for her and she didn’t need more. But the aunties keep pushing, chorusing that she CANNOT eat so little. So in the end, she ate double portions. I think the ladies are being nice but somehow feel they should respect the young girl’s decision if she said no. Last straw is one of the aunties pointed to her to finish up another colleague leftover curry chicken and potato when everyone is almost leaving the table 🙁🙁🙁 Like treating her like a dustbin just because she is young and overweight.
I have often been at the receiving end, having to explain my food choices, stomach issues etc. It gets very tiring and I wish sometimes people just respect my decision. It gets better as I am older now and able to hold my ground and ignore them, but I feel for this young girl who may be pressured cos she feel paiseh. Maybe I am thinking too much 😄😄
