Modified semicircle, Hamstring work inspired by @seanbergara and heel lifts! Beautiful work for posterior side of my body πŸ’•πŸ’•

Loving this Organic Castile Soaps by @naturesglorysg. The first homegrown Castile soaps in Singapore. How cute is the name: The Blessed Soaps!
~
If you don’t already know, I am a huge fan of their food products. High quality, affordable and with exceptional ingredients.
~
This batch of Castile soaps are no different. Gentle on the skin with very minimal ingredients. I love that the ingredients don’t contain strange chemical tongue twistersπŸ˜…πŸ˜…, something that I avoid using in my home.

These multi-purpose cleansers come in many different flavours, including Tea Tree 🌲 and Citrus 🍊 . I use the soothing lavender scented one for washing my pillow cases and delicates, smells sooo good πŸ› . And also for an indulgent bath πŸ›€πŸ» to rest my tired muscles after teaching for hours.
~
And since I have to do lots of dishes during the weekends after my cooking adventures πŸ˜…πŸ˜…, I use the unscented one to wash them. Just a tiny bit washes away the grease and I know that it’s gentle and not drying on my hands. πŸ’—πŸ’—

Body craves for nice clean eats today πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ Bought 3 avocados last week, 1 ripen perfectly. 2 of them turn brown but didn’t soften. I decided to cut them up anyway when they were turning a bit black, not rotten inside but the flesh was dry, chewy and hard. Anyone know why or any tips to prevent this? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈDoesn’t happen often but missing my creamy avocados now πŸ₯‘πŸ₯‘

Cooking with a new ingredient πŸŽ‰today! I have wanted to cook with luffa after I recently had it at a vegetarian cai png store. But the super long, green and spiky 🌡 hard exterior is a turn off πŸ˜–πŸ˜– So I was really thrilled😁 to find peeled luffa at Chong Pang market. Anyone knows where else sells peeled luffa?
1. Luffa Egg Drop Miso soup. Deliciously sweet luffa pairs so well with miso. I used shiro miso @naturesglorysg . Boil luffa, tear roasted laver πŸ™ by hand and throw in pot for a deeper umami taste. Stir in eggs and miso. Drizzle with fragrant toasted sesame oil. So good, really the ultimate comfort bowl 🍲
2. Salmon 🍣mushroom multigrain rice. Another super simple one pot dish in our rice cooker. Put rice with mushrooms πŸ„ and pre-soaked water. I used dried shiitake and maitake here. Marinate salmon with a little mirin. Put salmon in when half way through cook cycle. Yummms!!!

Having Leicha after teaching a fantastic bunch of ladies at Novena. @debisamonster why you so smart πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
On a side note, while I was having this, there was a group of ladies eating beside me, all relatively slim. And then along comes their colleague, looks like an intern (young sweet looking girl but really overweight). She begin to eat her tabao food and then the ladies around the table remarked that her food is too little for her. I looked over and it was by no means little, there was rice, curry, meat, tempeh and veggie - a substantial portion. They keep insisting it’s too little and ask her to take theirs (because they can’t finish). One even spoon over a plate of curry chicken, potato and rice for her. The intern kept insisting her portion was just nice for her and she didn’t need more. But the aunties keep pushing, chorusing that she CANNOT eat so little. So in the end, she ate double portions. I think the ladies are being nice but somehow feel they should respect the young girl’s decision if she said no. Last straw is one of the aunties pointed to her to finish up another colleague leftover curry chicken and potato when everyone is almost leaving the table πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™ Like treating her like a dustbin just because she is young and overweight.
I have often been at the receiving end, having to explain my food choices, stomach issues etc. It gets very tiring and I wish sometimes people just respect my decision. It gets better as I am older now and able to hold my ground and ignore them, but I feel for this young girl who may be pressured cos she feel paiseh. Maybe I am thinking too much πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

It’s always challenging for me to buy traditional Chinese fish 🎣 cos I am not sure how to choose them. Was really craving for them after endless weeks of eating western style fillets like salmon & Barrumundi. Though I enjoy eating them, the Teochew in me craves for a session of tedious bone picking in search for silky fish meat especially at the belly, head and tail. And of course sucking the gelatinous fish eyes 🀀🀀 Who else is with me on this? πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
1. Steamed threadfin (courtesy of my sweet parents) with tomatoes, shiitake mushrooms & spring onions. Seasoned with hua tiao chiew, shoyu and shiso plum
2. Tangy garlic dip. Diced garlic, juiced limes and cut chili padi 😘😘 Love this on veggies and fish.
3. Bok choy soup with sliced ginger. Added 1 tsp of instant bonito stock @naturesglorysg and red dates

Happy Blessed Birthday Singapore 🎊🎊. Am so proud to be a citizen of this small but dynamic country 😍😍

Best Leicha soup I have had. Just look at how creamy it is! 🀀🀀 Also one of the few Leicha stores that actually serves mani cai (very dark & slightly bitter veg on the right) that is traditionally in Leicha. I love the slight chewiness and sweet aftertaste of the veg 😍😍

New read and detox salad πŸ₯—
Recently discovered microwaved broccoli, mind blown. Perfectly done βœ… in 2 mins! 😝😝 Read that cooking broccoli this way actually retains most of its nutrients. Anyone microwaves their broccoli too? πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Steamed chestnut 🌰 cake - no oil and low sugar. Smells amazing!!! 😍😍

It’s a rice and veggie day.
